CFCfan: There would be no need for a police report in a society where things are working. Where everything is documented and the person can always be traced/found - if @all he is a criminal. Not in Nigeria. 3 Likes |

azat: Typical reasoning of a Nigerian retar*d!! Why should she set up a blood bank in her village, is she the government? Or was she allocated part of the health budget? Retar*ds like you foolishly shy away from the truth but when you find yourself or a member of your family in a serious medical predicament, you come here to solicit for money/assistance to seek foreign medical help. Your politicians couldn't care less about the dilapidated state of Nigeria's health service because they have easy access to quality healthcare in the west, courtesy of your tax money unfortunately you're too stupi*d to think straight. 9 Likes |

i believe there has to be a reason for that because i recently watched a kind of advert about such thing in india. they have similar problem that leads to people not giving any kind of first aid until the police arrive to the scene of the accident. India has lifted that sha, waiting for Nigeria to do so it makes no sence.... |

babyosisi:you are very ignorant. Do you think doctors in US can perform well under the 'Nigeria condition'. You are not even a medical doctor in US and you have the guts to critice Nigerian doctors. You are probably one of those Medical assistant who got their degree from Everest College and then claim to be nurse to their Nigerian friend just to boost your ego. If you are so good why don't you go attend medical school and become a doctor 4 Likes |

FemiFaniKayode:Lol.Funny thing is all the verbiage does not address the purported subject once. I can only assume the insecure biitch need to RE: announce to those who are interested where she is now. As a matter of fact the words; POLICE REPORT do not appear even once in her verbose treatise. So do we now know why hospitals demand police reports 3 Likes |

The op is right...Pls pray u don't fall sick in Nigeria, all facets of d economy has been corrupted and d medical sector is not left out, d influx of private hospitals by non challant med doctors is also to blame..don't chastise d op he has jst spoken d truth...a typical Nigerian hospital is a hell hole filled with half demented personnel. 4 Likes |

Kachisbarbie:In US, The police are usually called for cases that invovle injuries from gun shot. Most hospital in the States would not discharge a person with gun shot wound without first involving the police to determine if the patient is a criminal or just a victim |

@OP, Maybe the hospitals in your locality. I have even been privileged to head teams which have managed RTA patients and gun-shot wounds very successfully. You have to make informed assertions before coming to public to expose your limited knowledge. In emergency situations, sophisticated investigative procedures are rarely required to SAVE the lives of the patients; in fact, what you mentioned regarding setting up IV lines + fluid administration in an attempt to mock local health workers is one of the most important steps in saving such patients after arresting bleeding. Once patients are stabilised, they can be transferred to special units or centres. That is standard procedure all over the world. 7 Likes |

/ Doctors in.Nigeria work under terrible conditions financially and otherwise. Worst part of it all, some of the people.went into.medicine for prestige, money or dictates of their family. There is no.passion. I interviewed a couple of them that work in some hospitals in FCT and all I could do was shake my head. I walked a.few through the algorithms of ACLS and you could see the astonishing and overwhelmed looks in their faces. It was then that it finally dawned on me why politicians run to foreign countries for medical check. I don't want to go into the gory details of what I saw when I visited UNTH. 6 Likes |

hhmm, i really wonder d purpose of this thread. Nt everything u ve said s true. Its nt news dat nigeria health system lacks adequate funding. Yet drs still try to work under dese adverse conditions. Bushdoc addressed most of d points u raised well. Ur posts are very disappointing coming frm a person like u. U wont talk of d ignorance factor dat leads to late presentation in nig hospitals. Patients visit native drs and prayer houses b4 presenting to d hospital and u expect d dr to perform a magic ba?ok. If d facts in all ur posts were all true, then there wont b any living being in nig. U wont talk of d successfl ivfs dat are going on in nigerian hospitals, or u havent heard of any? Thankfully there s a thread in Nl whr u can check it out. Biko all dese hatefl comments abt d nig dr are nt necessary. The system s bad, yess, bt drs in nig re trying. I dont think u ll b able to practise in d condition under wch dese drs practise. 2 Likes |
