The exchange of brickbats between the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the All Progressives Congress (APC) ahead of the 2015 elections has taken yet another turn, with the PDP campaign organisation asking Muhammadu Buhari to explain his role in the events leading to the 1966 countercoup.

Addressing the media on Wednesday, Femi Fani-Kayode, the spokesman of the PDP campaign organisation, asked Buhari, the APC  presidential candidate, to answer questions on the “massacre of Igbo” in Kano in 1966 and in Asaba during the civil war.

He also said Buhari has been asked by foreign countries to legalise gay marriage in Nigeria in exchange for their backing in the presidential election.

Fani-Kayode told the media: “[Buhari] needs to answer questions about his role in the July 29, 1966 coup and the mass murder of about 300 Igbo army officers, including a serving Head of State, that took place that night.

What authority do they have to prove the claim?

I would like to take this opportunity to state clearly.....a violent clash that will split the country is brewing.

Jonathan is not ready to handover and Buhari is set to snatch power from him. There is a bottled pressure and its approaching a blow point.....the steam is about to explode.

Its amazing how Asari has cleverly outsourced his war cries to FFK and FAYOSE. They are now the drum majors for Jonathan victory at all cost.

FFK is a bastard! He wants to now blame Buhari for the civil war against Igbos. Was Buhari the head of state when the civil war broke out? What a cocaine drug addict!
Even Gowon will be laughing at the maniac.

No going back! Its Buhari or no one!

Is this not the same Buhari that Jonathan gave a national award as part of the millennium celebration?. Shame on Jonathan for awarding a national award to a terrorist, a mass murderer, a religious extremist etc etc

Every crime Jonathan accuses Buhari of a crime he betrays his lack of liver to arrest him. If Buhari is a terrorist or mass murderer then GEJ should bring proof and arrest him.

This is the main reasons igbos should run away from a buhari presidency. He butchered igbos not once, not twice but all through his heineous time in the military.., and after being asked many times if he had any regrets, this felon insisted he had no regrets! Buhari is a remorseless killer. The july 29 th coup of 1966 that catapulted tbe hausa fulani to the top of politics in this country were spearheaded by nothern junior officers like Danjuma, murtala, Useni, Bali Adamu, Buhari, Babangida, nasko and many others. They didn't just stop at killing their felow innocent officers that very night, these vandals proceeded to conduct a progrom against many southerners in the north most of them civilians. It went on on for months, unabated while Gowon looked the other way. Buhari was part and parcel of it and has never denied it. . For the igbo mans political emancipation in this country, it is essential to close that chapter by atleast making sure that all these genocidal officers never smell power again.. we should learn from Obasanjos experience.. A leoopard never changes its spots.
