Petroleum Training Institute (PTI) effurun recently had a recruitment exercise guess what ,80% of notherners got the job, the remaining 20% was shared by the other ethnicities ..this a school in warri o!yet we are screaming federal character which is only applicable in d north..whereas indigenes which constituted 70% of the applicants got less than 5%.
This is what happens when hausas dominate d seat of power.they all got their employment letter direct from abuja.

See this - I don't agree. The oil belongs to the people whose lands are being ravished by the exploitation.

When Sanusi and Madueke were arguing about who the missing money belongs to I caught something. That the argument was actually more to do with WHO was stealing rather than what was stolen.

At the end of all this - the people who are suffering the most are not even central to these conversations. People just assume because someone is south south they are automatically from oil producing areas. Some people are bathing in acidic water - starving because they can no longer farm and dying because there are no hospitals built to cater to them.

I don't see how you can lay claim to such when you've made no sacrifices for it.

This is really sad.

the same thing happened some Last two years were over 80% of people employed last year @ NATIONAL ENGINEERING AND TECHNICAL COMPAY a subsidiary of NNPC were Hausa . The young man who gave me this gist said some of them have no result ; when this was brought to the MD notice he simply said they should not worry he will sort that out .The MD is also Hausa.

3. The Confab report seeks to fix this kind of problem. However Jonathan has failed to submit it to the NA for implementation.

4. GMB just stated today that he WILL implement the Confab report.

Just ask the Itsekri man if he loves the Ijaw, if he loves the urhobos, if he loves the Isoko man? No. i will watch this election result from the Itsekiri areas, if they will vote GEJ. These are the problems. Look at apc as a party, the contesting president, his VP are all outside the core oil states. These two tribes completely look down on those producing the oil. Look at PTI, located right inside Warri, yet all the top, middle staff are from the north. Can you imagine. Useless Deltans and Most foolish Warri people. This hate amongst deltans are caused by the Itsekris who always feel they are more human than any other tribe. This has gradually reach this stage of always suspecting each other. I pity una.

The president cannot change everything overnight, even in south west the hausas still have a solid control.....a region who ruled Nigeria for more than 25 years will always dorminate.....I remember a particular south west state were they were speaking Hausa in a meeting in nnpc and the rest had to sit down listening to what they don't understand

I can categorically tell you that their claims could be genuine being a product of the school. There're lots of them there at the highest level and fixing their people in. So I'm not surprised.

Jonathan has been there for over 5 years he but didnt make any single attempt to change the ugly federal character trend but now you expect me to believe Jonathan will suddenly repent IF he is re-elected to power?.... GEJ only empowered the same old thieving southern politicians and then extended the blessings to creek criminals in the likes of Asari Dokubo and Gen Shoot at Sight. God forbid bad thing!

By the way, all the members of the board of directors in PTI are southerners, the president of NIgeria is a southerner, the petroleum minister is a southerner and you expect me to believe that a federal institution conducted a recruitment in Warri and employed 80% northerners?... That is absolute rubbish talk typical of what we hear from demented people like Fayose or FFK.

..And again going by the pictures of people protesting on that picture, they all look like street urchins. Are these the people you expect to be employed into positions even without a single formal or vocational qualification?... We know Uvwie youths to be the worst set of touts and I wouldn't be surprised if some of those youths would be protesting that PTI pays them 'deve' a.k.a development levy or just give them monthly stipends because PTI is sited on their land.

Does the excerpt copied in below suggest the lop-sided recruitment only favoured Hausas, as you would rather have us believe?

Urhobo youth give FG ultimatum on marginalisation at PTI

According to Ovie Igho, Urhobo working at PTI are mainly casual staff, contracted to non-Urhobo labour suppliers, adding that they have been working for over 10 years at the institute. He said that Urhobo interest was not represented in the Governing Council of the institute.

He added that the manner of recruitment in the institute overtime has favoured the Yoruba, Hausas and others “in line with the master plan of the cabal arrangement of principal offices which is unfavourable to the Urhobo.”

Igho alleged that in 2013, the management of the institute conducted “a back door recruitment that brought in a lot of Hausa, Yoruba and Igbo without any Urhobo being recruited, saying such an action was tantamount to an open invitation to anarchy, breakdown of law and order.

“We are calling for outright cancellation of the ongoing recruitment as it is against the collective good of the Urhobo people. We also call for a review of the staff structure of the institute in line with the Local Content Act and catchment area policy to ascertain the position of Urhobo.

That claim cannot be real, at least not the 80% figure.... How can 80% northerners be employed in a federal govt institution in Warri?... If you tell me some Urhobo youths from Uvwie are protesting because only a few of their indigenes were employed, I would understand but that is simply because it's a federal institution where persons from all over Nigeria would be recruited. But to tell me it is 80% hausa, that is pure trash
