President Goodluck Jonathan is presently in Lagos while the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Maj.Gen Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), will arrive the nation’s commercial capital by 4pm.

It was learnt that Jonathan is attending a conference at the Nigerian Stock Exchange to reassure investors that despite the crash in the stock market, Nigeria would bounce back.

The conference, it was learnt, was necessitated by a report by the international rating agency, Standard & Poor’s, that Nigeria’s economy is in danger and also put Nigeria on negative sovereign ratings watch, BB minus.

Jonathan had earlier in the day visited the Awujale of Ijebuland, Oba Sikiru Adetona, to solicit the monarch’s support for his re-election.

Meanwhile, it was learnt that Buhari is in Lagos to meet with youths and entertainers at the Intercontinental Hotel, Victoria Island.

Investigations by our correspondent showed that Lagos is expected to be a battleground between the Peoples Democratic Party and the APC due to its status as the state with the highest number of voters.

On the new claim by PDP that GMB will legalize same-sex marriage, Mudasiru Adebayo Salami wrote; "What they are doing is called 'micro-targetting' though in a negative way. Every accusation has a definite target and expected response. The Islamization accusation is to poison Christian voters' mind especially in the South and I must confess it is very effective in the South East where 75% of those who will vote against Buhari are all parroting this mythical Islamization agenda. And in fact many Christians even in South West are saying though they know Jona is a failure but they are voting for their faith! Can you imagine that?

This latest accusation about homosexuality is aimed at eliciting a response from Buhari to say he can never do that and therefore they can use it to argue in the Western world - we told you he's an Islamist, support us and we will repeal that law.
