The Nigerian constitution provides for no role for the VP except being President in waiting

Is this a very good use of human resource? As oil price crashes and the need to streamline Government becomes paramount. Should the office of the VP double as a Minister? E.g. Minister for Internal Affairs

The Minister is the eyes of the executive arm of government in his own Ministry
The Minister is also part of the executive cabinet which the VP is also part of.

This will help just as it does for Osun State whose Deputy Governor doubles as the Commissioner of Education. The in-coming VP, Osinbajo, being a professor and lawyer may man the Ministry of Education or Justice.

i second this idea cos the VP aint doing nothing.....i sometimes forget theres a Sambo in Nigeria

In the US of A whose constitution we copied so badly and have a bloated assembly as a result, have the vice president doubling as the senate president.
