@OP.
I will be objective here. Myself have also researched cause I wanted to know why as well.
This APC phenomenon is only happening online because of successful campaigns of blackmail they've engaged for long. "He who control the media, control the mind of the people" that's the signature I have there and it's scientifically proven to be the case.
APC have spent over $150 Billion on campaigns and blackmails online and to be honest it have been successful to an extent. Fortunately, Nigeria is not an advanced country where such online opinion will be the opinion of the majority of the people, because a greater majority of Nigerians have no idea what an online poll is. THE BULK OF THE REAL VOTERS HAVE NEVER PARTICIPATED IN THE ONLINE POLLS.
Example; is the Anambra governorship election where on the internet Ngige already won the election. Here on Nairaland it was as if it was going to be a coronation of Ngige. Following successful online campaigns I was almost sure Ngige will win the election. But when the election held, Ngige came far third!.
This APC campaigns is only effective online. Offline Jonathan rule strong because APC campaigns of blackmail have not be sold to the street. PDP is the only party that have the muscle and national spread down to local governments. And when you compare the population of Nigeria it's simple to understand why notable institutions are betting that Jonathan will win the election, though it maybe a close call. |

You are absolutely right on your position. A bulk of the people with access to the internet are educated folks who can add numbers together and get the right answers. They are less swayed by mundane considerations like religion, ethnicity and inane propaganda from AIT, NTA and Radio Nigeria when taking decisions, hence are less likely to support the retention of the status quo that has had very unpalatable effects on the general population.
It is the reason why a guy like myself would never, even in my wildest fantasies, imagine taking sides with this administration. Its failures are there for all to see. The most disgusting is that it would never accept responsibility for any of them. Neither would Otunba Barcanista sef. Dat guy iz one serious stray sheep headin 2wards slaughter house |

Stop being gaddemn silly, all this 'like for Bihari share for jonathan' is a big joke !! Anyways we all know GEJ will win this election , he won't just win it , he'll win it effortlessly
GEJ till the second coming of Jesus christ and even beyond sef!!! No wonder he is campaigning effortlessly....My vote is for APC and I am so glad we have an opposition strong enough to rattle PDP at the federal level...Enough Enough for one party ruling Nigeria without any strong opposition..This is good for our democracy |

TheLeader: Ever wondered why Buhari wins all the online polls? Here is what I think-
I think its because the bulk of the populace that actually know what's going on in the country are the ones that have access to the internet and know how to use it, hence the overwhelming support for the opposition online. We've seen Buhari sweep polls conducted by even AIT and GEJ's aids...Surprising huh?
Why doesn't this necessarily replicate itself when it comes to the poorest of the poor?
Most...yea most Nigerians in our numerous villages that constitute the bulk of the country don't have access to the internet...or can't use it. At best they are stuck with NTA and the network news on radio...I need not state how one-sided the news here can be. Furthermore, these people(some of my friends and relatives included) are predominantly illiterates so might not have the ability to rate the Government's performance objectively, hence their inclination to vote along ethnic/religious line rather that the capability of the candidates.
...so next time you see 400 like in 3 minutes for the opposition, don't wonder if persons have multiple accounts and can switch between 50 of those accounts in 3mins just to click like...nt feasible right? well I thought so too.
These persons are just the majority of enlightened Nigerians trying to salvage whatever is left of our once great country before it is too late.
"If you try, you might fail, but if you fail to try, you've failed already".
Now you know why Buhari wins the polls online.

This may be true for SE and some places in SS but definitely not in the SW. I have sampled opinions here and I can tell you that majority of the illiterates here are tired of the present government. My local Rewire guy who knows next to nothing about the internet or any online poll came to my house to do a job for me a few weeks ago and he started a discussion on the situation of things in the country. I was shocked when he said 'Sai Buhari, sai baba' with so much passion and stated his intention to get his PVC by the following saturday. That was when it dawned on me that even the people we refer to as illiterates are fed up. It would take either a miracle or rigging for GEJ to win this election. 1 Like |

With the way you ended it, you seem cocksure that your opinion is irrefutable. That is an error of overgeneralization. I beg to disagree with you. Majority of the APC supporters I've come across are people with 'limited' thinking ability (you showed that in your concluding statement) or people who are generally unconcerned with updating their knowledge. How then, can such class of people be addressed as 'educated'? People who lack the necessary foundation necessary for sound education? I had a banter with a respected (by me) APC supporter online but I was disappointed to find out that he is like most I've met before. He just had a pre-programmed set of 'questions' against PDP, but when I tried to take him one on one, I discovered he had little idea how the mechanism of devaluation of currency works. I had to ignore him at that. Or was it when one was fighting hard to dissociate Boeing Defense, Security and Space Corp. from Boeing Commercial Airplanes in a bid to fault the Nigerian Military for doing business via Triax Conglomerates? Not saying that they represent the best of APC sympathetics, but my sample space completely disagrees with your postulation thus. 1 Like |
