That's the reason I want to run my masters programme in university of ibadan next yr.

I just love a tough ground to study. I like challenges. I did it in Uniben and am coming to ibadan to show them am capable. Only if I don't change my mind of going abroad.

U.I delayts their Msc programme like kilode. U'll spend 3yrs doing Msc instead of 18months as dey say it'll be initially. They'll keep u like u came 2 stay there 4eva.

For the record, UNILORIN now admits more than 10,000 and has always been a member of ASUU. Just won't participate in any of its strike
Hence, the use of 'about' in my post. This is informed by the creation of new faculties. If I'm a Chelsea fan but I don't watch Chelsea games, what sought of a fan am I?

It is the most sought university does not make it the best among universities. It is just because of the no strike action, so don't feel your school is too good. It is manageable shall in Nigeria.

I never said or even implied, in any way that my school is among the best. Did you read the post "upside down" ? grin

As a matter of fact, it was below the mark for me and i did not fail to show my disappointment.

I heard a similar story from a close friend in that school. What is the problem of UI? If UI is like that, maybe I will sought after Ife. They are the two good schools for my course in Nigeria. I just pray this foreign admission work-out because Nigeria education system sometimes is not reliable.

I'll not take you serious until you make it there.
You can't graduate from there if you're not above the average...never!
Their calendar is not faster than that obtainable in the UK and the US.
It's not a school where anything goes.
Go and get the list of the best Universities in Africa and tell me the first Nigerian University on the list.
Except you were withdrawn from the school, it's understandable, otherwise quit hating.

Unilorin...always the most sought after...since the days of Socrates and Plato.

Unilorin will admit about 7,000. Not easy attending the only federal school that doesn't belong to ASUU.
imagine over 107k candidates for 7000 slots. Though the school admitted abt 14000 students last year and i fear most of dem will 'ja' after 100lvl

Oga, I'm a graduate of the prestigious University of Lagos. Hw cn I leave Lagos for Kwara state? If its nt Lagos, forget abt it. We lead nd u guys follow. Even d so called CBT test u guys do nowadays started from Unilag. Mention 10 of ur alumnus that is popular in Nigeria. Unilorin is nt even one of d first generation Universities in Nigeria.
A third generation University that has taken the place of first generation Universities. You said you are leading and Unilorin is still the King of Nigerian Universities in the latest ranking. Na beans or do you think they consider the city where it's located?
We have our 3rd class law graduates making 1st class in law schools ahead of your so-called prestigious students.
My Econometrics Lecturer is a god in Unilag. He stopped attending his Ph.D class in Unilag because they were using his books to teach himgrin
I will not drop his name, but I'm sure if your VC is reading this, he'd know who I am talking about. Those are the calibre of people who taught us.
How prestigious is a University when her second-class (upper division) Economics graduates forget common cobweb theory within a year of graduation?
I don't see any Unilorin 100 level withdrawn student forgetting that in 5 years.
I don't know how long Unilag has started CBT, but I know it started in Unilorin before I graduated more than half a decade ago. Unilorin is fast leaving the rest behind.

Yea. The school has expanded from the usual 10 faculties to about 12 now. So they should admit about 14000 but after making them pay, exams come, bad grades follow, then 'ja' follows. At the end of the day, they'd have like 12000 students for that particular admission year...to include DE students.
