You should have human face to every issues of life.

The addition of North Central, North West and North East has not even summed up to 750 that is only given to South West yet you still complain it should be reviewed?

May God help this country to better the future generations.

Bambalee:
Good afternoon house, I just read the quota breakdown of the last recruitment by executivegej

South West (750) --- Ogun(175), Ondo(135), Osun(120), Ekiti(115), Oyo(105), Lagos(100)

South South(650)--- Delta(165), Edo(125), Rivers(125), Cross River(100), Akw-Ibom(80), Bayelsa (55)

South East(600)--- Imo(150), Anambra(135), Enugu(120), Abia(115), Ebonyi(80)

North Central(340)— Kwara(70), Kogi(70), Plateau(70), Benue(40), Nassarawa(35), Niger(30), FCT(25)

North West (200)— Kaduna(45), Kano(40), Sokoto(35), Katsina(30), Kebbi(20), Jigawa(15), Zamfara(15)

North East (150)- Borno(35), Taraba(30), Adamawa(30), Bauchi(30), Gombe(15), Yobe(15).

No-thanks and Thanks to Federal Character, equal number of candidates would be selected from each states, tentatively pegged at 10.

To be selected, you must meet at least two basic criteria.
(1) You must have the highest average score from your Local Government area in your state, no room for second best, except for special cases.
This implies that for Candidates A & B from Lagos state. Candidate A from Lagos state with a score of 70% can be picked, and Candidate B from Lagos state with a score of 80% is not picked, If Candidate B fails to meet the above criterion.

(2) You must have the best “10” or whatever no. to be selected highest average score from the bests of each local govt. from your state.

Ties in average score will be broken to favour the female gender i.e if a female candidate score is the same with a male candidate

It is sad that the quota system being propagated by the federal character commission is killing this country. I don't understand why the North should have the same quota with the educational advanced and competitive South West, South South and South East states. I am just of the opinion that the quota should vary depending on the number of successful candidates per state and not equal quota as it is in Nigeria.
Re: NNPC Aptitude Test On December 6, 2014 by Bambalee(m): 7:13pm On Mar 17, 2015
@Snazzyjay

You are missing the point, the quota system does not come into play during the test. It only applies during the interview stage, so those that had above the cut off mark are grouped into their respective states.

My point is how will 175 candidates from Ogun state compete for 10 slots while 15 candidates from Yobe state compete for the same 10 slots for their state? So what I meant is that the odds are in favour of those from the North.

Chosed is simply not an English word. I will even have to delete this from my phone's learned words because I forced it to type it. Once again, I choose, I chose, I have chosen. Take corrections when you're evidently wrong. That makes you a great man. Cheers!
dapsy06:

My brother or is it sis, I'm very gracious in defeat and would gladly accept when I'm wrong. You just referred to the present, past and past participle of choose. Run down through your note on tenses and you would find what we call a perfect tense.

To whom it may concern.

Aristotle once said and I quote ''The worst form of inequality is to try make unequal things equal''

It will be a continuous waste of time trying to make some of you guys to see beyond your knowledge that have been jaundiced.

If after the screen grab, you still think there is no such word, then you had better gone for a frontal lobe upgrade and may God help you.

And for that slubberdegullion cacafeugo who thinks he is smart, you may continue to rant for all I care. Yours is only a case of argumentum ad odium and I don't deal with loblollies.

Had a long day and I need some rest now as I have an early morning chopper to catch.

@softrise, executivegej has given you quiet an impressive info on how the quota system selection is achieved.

"...beyond your knowledge that HAS been jaundiced." "Have" is the wrong verb for this sentence. There's something you need to understand about English. Like your typical software, it can be updated. We in broadcast don't say "the seven stadia were closed". The seven STADIUMS were closed. Why? Certain things have been dropped and others have been picked. Agendum is dead now. Agenda, agendas. A few more words are like that too. Listen to BBC. You can't be more British than they are. If you hear STADIA, ignore everything I've said. Chosed exists colloquially but no one uses it sir. Don't try to prove right or wrong. Let it go, and don't embarrass yourself out there by using it. Cheers!

Hello people. I have an important question that has weighed me down. Please, grace your replies with how sure you are.

During documentation and medicals, is pregnancy test inclusive in the medicals? If so, does being pregnant (even if not heavy) pose a barrier to getting the job?

Please your informed reply would help in my decision making now. Thanks for anticipated reply.

Well i'm not too sure, however, i think it depends on the organizations. If it's an organization that would require you go for training for lets say 6months. I do not think they would want u going for maternity leave when you are suppose to be in training and they sure wouldn't halt the training for you. Even most organozations, after training still say new in takes would have to stay for about 1year or 6months before they are entitled to any form of leave vacation. So best bet, Family planning, Just to be on the safer side of course.

Plus i have never heard of pregnancy test in medicals but where i work, it happened to a lady. we were in training few weeks later she began to have morning sickness. it was found out she was pregnant. she was asked to go but later scheduled for the next training. Lucky for her its an organization that recruits more than once a yr. but for NNPC...

To the best of my knowledge, the rule of engagement for most corporate entities is that 'until confirmation of apointment which is usually after the the successful completion of the probation period ranging frm 6-12months (varies across organisation), you are not entitled to your full benefit which include your annual leave and other benefits i.e. Maternity! It is also viewed that the pregnancy status may affect your productivity in terms of the optimal discharge of your duties. Moreso, no organisation will want to be held responsible for putting in harm way an unborn baby and the mother! (This iS my personal opinion)

Talking about "counting your chickens before they are hatched," what do you expect? Losing the job cos of pregnancy that can wait till next year or terminating it cos of NNPC? Unlike chickens, this takes 9months to "hatch." Either I plan now or I lose out.

Lies from the pit of hell. In the last recruitment exercise, some states had only one candidate taken, others have none at all. State like kogi have six candidates picked, while plateau had only one. Go and prepare for your interview and stop discouraging yourself with this quota system. Quota system is not base on state, it's base on the six geographical region. In other word every region must be represented, not every states.

"Planning" came about cos of situations like this. My marriage is well secured, thank you, and the planning is being done by my hubby and I, all I seek is concrete information on whether to stop my family planning or delay if for a couple of months. Six months extra wi do no one any harm, afterall, I have a child already. If I decide to take in by December, I'll be expecting by October, win-win.

My dear, you are right. Though my connection stretches farther than you think, God.
This is my dream job (heavy purse, doing what I love, security, not too stressful). Why should I lose this opportunity that MIGHT come once cos of something I have over three decades to do? Just imagine receiving an appointment letter and being dismissed a month after. Tears alone would dehydrate the baby.
