Xiadnat:Yes I am. I also feel little itching on the back of my hand |
Re: Doctor in the House: Free Medical Advice Available by Nobody: 3:46pm On Mar 17, 2015 |
iameffiong: It could be dermatitis. Need to figure out what it is that's causing the itch. Try steroid topical cream on it for a limited time to relieve itch. Wouldn't hurt to get tested for STD too. |

bangleslover: Stomatitis: need to pay attention to what brings it on. At this time, try an anesthetic oral swish like benzocaine or lidocaine. Can try nystatin swish as well in case candidiasis, but this really shouldn't be if you are young and healthy. Any white patches on the tongue? |
Re: Doctor in the House: Free Medical Advice Available by Nobody: 5:51pm On Mar 17, 2015 |
Xiadnat: Ms Doc sorry i don't understand all that language up there, can you simplify it for me please no white patches |
Re: Doctor in the House: Free Medical Advice Available by Nobody: 6:03pm On Mar 17, 2015 |
bangleslover: Stomatitis is inflammation oral mucosa (walls of mouth, lips): sometimes caused by allergic reactions. So, just told you to pay attention if anything triggers it or when you notice it and what it is associated with; if any. Also, you may have nutritional deficiency. May I suggest to see a primary care doctor and have him/her have a look see into your mouth. If you want to take care of mouth pain, then have your doctor prescribe a pain medicine for the mouth; it's like a mouth wash. Then, have the doc check your vitamin levels: Vit B levels especially, perhaps iron. 1 Like |

Re: Doctor in the House: Free Medical Advice Available by Nobody: 3:14am On Mar 19, 2015 |
Madamspeaker: It sounds like food allergey. Take note of when you feel the symptoms and what you ate/eating at the time. Possiblities: lactose intolerance: meaning avoid all diary: cheese, milk products. Gluten allergey: avoid wheat, rye, oats, barley foods. any blood in diarrhea? Is stomach pain relieved after bowel movement/stooling? Any fever? There's also a condition called Irritable bowel syndrome; but see if food allergey first. Best |

Re: Doctor in the House: Free Medical Advice Available by abayomi93(m): 2:24pm On Mar 19, 2015 |
Xiadnat:helo dr, I have done the ECG test and I got the following results:RATE:99beats/Min. P-wave;Normal. P-R: 200mg.width:Normal.Axis;Normal. Q-T Interval:60/ms .T-Wave: T -wave inversion .and my B.P is 160/80. Though the doctor prescribed a drugs for me to bring down the bp. So ples with this ECG results what do u have 2 say |
Re: Doctor in the House: Free Medical Advice Available by Nobody: 2:59pm On Mar 19, 2015 |
abayomi93: Is there a way you can post the whole of the ECG tracings, just block out your identifying information (name etc.) I need to see the progression of the waves themselves. These numbers mean little. But, you are clearly on the border of tachycardia (fast heart beat, so you are correct in that). Your blood pressure needs to come down. The questions now is what's causing this? Two things: thyroid hormone dysfunction or arrhythmia. Tell me of what age you are? Any other medical issues or symptoms that you feel? Go back to your doc, and ask him/her to get Thyroid hormone function tests; it includes: TSH, T4. If you cannot post the entire ECG tracings, no problem. But, I would make sure that your doctor reads it properly to ascertain if cardiac arrhythmias of some sort present. |

imagrg: I am afraid there is no cure. Once she has this seizure past childhood to young adulthood, likelihood of growing out of it gets slimmer and slimmer. She will be on anti-seizure for life likely. Has she ever tried going off Tegretol for any significant of time? You could try going off the drug for a brief moment of time (albeit under strict watchful eye), see if she has seizure activity. If she doesn't for I believe 6 months at a time, then she may be able to staff off the anti seizure drug for life. But, suffice to say, most people stay on the safe side by staying on anti seizure for life. Best. |

Re: Doctor in the House: Free Medical Advice Available by Nobody: 10:54pm On Mar 19, 2015 |
abayomi93: well alright. You have non specific and borderline irregularities in your ECG, but I cannot decipher what it means w/o the context of the ECG tracings and your complete personal history. But, still go get those tests I mentioned. Do you have family history of heart issues? Do you drink lots of caffeine beverages? Just curious. Best. |
Re: Doctor in the House: Free Medical Advice Available by Nobody: 10:56pm On Mar 19, 2015 |
Dadsonval: Are you sexually active? Get a pregnancy test if you are. Then tests for STD. There's also hernia; in which case you either bear it or get surgical repair. But, that's after you rule out other things first. Best. |
Re: Doctor in the House: Free Medical Advice Available by abayomi93(m): 7:48am On Mar 20, 2015 |
Xiadnat:Not realy, all I know is that my mother had hypertension but she was an elderly person.and she faced a lot of challanges while growing up that led to her hbp. Soo ar you saying that T.wave inversion is not that serious?. Cus the doctor I saw prescribed a B.P drug for me and I am getting better now. Can u name types of caffeine and soda drinks so that I can stop them comletely |
Re: Doctor in the House: Free Medical Advice Available by Nobody: 2:07pm On Mar 23, 2015 |
abayomi93: Ok. Just treat the high blood pressure then. Engage in healthy lifestyle: exercise, low fat diet. Any drinks that have caffeine in it especially those energy drinks as well as coffee itself. T wave inversion may or may not be pathologic (problem), that's why I said I needed to interpret it within the context of your history and the rest of the ECG tracings. Since you are young and based on what you have said, I suspect it is not terrible. Just take the BP meds; and stop caffeine if you take them, get your thyroid hormone checked. Then, I suggest repeating the ECG at some point the near future. Should probably also re-check your BP. Best. |

hi doc plz waz d mst effective medicine to treat chronic bone infection which oozes pus. is there any supplement or special food patients with such condition shld b placed on tnks |
Re: Doctor in the House: Free Medical Advice Available by Nobody: 12:10am On Mar 24, 2015 |
drstan: You got stool culture like I asked in the first post. That's great. Salmonella infectious diarrhea usually only lasts up to 7-10 days w/o antibiotics. Your diarrhea have lasted greater than that, perhaps you are being re exposed. How is the diarrhea? I still do not recommend treating it with antibiotics unless you are really dying of diarrheal illness (like fever and severe abdominal cramp and decreased appetite and so forth). Best thing is to investigate what you are eating/drinking that causing re-exposure, and end it. Good luck |
Re: Doctor in the House: Free Medical Advice Available by Nobody: 12:12am On Mar 24, 2015 |
Destinygrl: May I ask why you have chronic osteomyelitis? Treatment is parenteral or Intravenous antibiotics. May try oral route as well. No supplements, just eat well balanced diet comprising of proteins, good fats, vitamins: foods that facilitate would healing. You need to find you a good 'wound care' specialists or your general primary care doc. health care personnel can do this. Best. |
