nikiihardehx: nikiihardehx:How does this ridiculous story explain the contradiction in the upper quote; the discrepancy between your Dad's declaration of 3 children and your Mom's declaration of 4 children? You guys must really be thinking that Visa Officers are very stυpid to have come up with this ridiculous child's story that holds no water. If you ask me, all these smart attempts could get you banned, that's if you haven't already been banned. 2 Likes |

My family and I have just been given a 6 months tourist visa. Valid from 10th of March to 10th of September. We stated in our application that we will be staying for one week from April 1 to 8. Now we want to go on 26th and come back 13th that's about 2 weeks and 5 days. I hope we wouldn't be getting into any trouble at the POE. |

Hi everyone, thanks for your contributions. please advise me on documents to provide for Family Visit Visa to make my application strong. I will be getting the Invitation letter & other necessary documents from my stepfather(settled in the UK) who will also sponsor my trip and house me. what do I need to provide from my own side? I'm 21 and a freelance web designer. My mum also reside with my stepfather in the UK with 2 children who are my stepbrothers(Citizens) I will appreciate your advice. 1 Like |

tobitee: That should not e a problem. Plans change for various reasons. They may ask you to show your return ticket though as proof you intend leaving when you say you will. Even at that you can still change your return date with the airline. Provided you do not overstay, your change of your duration of stay is ok. |

All the Gurus in the house, Kindly advise me. I had a UK visa (6 months), expired around Jan 2014. I traveled with it once and spent about 2 weeks. I have traveled to other countries after then including Qatar, USA. My US visa is till valid self. I want to apply for a 2 year UK visa. how do I renew/apply and go about it. The UK visa was a Business Visit Visa. I intend to travel around September again to the UK/Scotland. I work for stable company and earn some decent salary. I intend to go for business conference. |

nikiihardehx: Jesus wept! I haven't been to Nairaland in a while - is this how people write these days?!? Here's a handy translation for those of you left scratching your heads: The first time that dad applied he wrote 3. When he renewed his visa last year December, he wrote 4. He just added my other sister’s name, and he was issued the visa. And according to the first letter of refusal, they said that was no proper explanation of why my mum wrote 3 and my dad 4. Probably they weren’t convinced enough. Then he supported it with some documents and traveling history. Luckily enough when he decided to add my sister’s name when he renewed his, he was given 10 years – and he’s never travelled with any of his children. I’m so confused sef! 1 Like |

lorddubic: She hasn't done herself or her kids any good. Getting her kids over to the UK as an overstayer will be a tough task. Is her hubby still a student? |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 2 by lorddubic: 4:41pm On Mar 20, 2015 |
justwise:yes..the hubby is on student visa. although by now i believe he must have completed his program since it was only but a one year course he applied for. |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 2 by justwise(m): 5:16pm On Mar 20, 2015 |
lorddubic: lorddubic: Applicants of one year course are given one year visa plus 4month=16 months visa, so is either her hubby has 3months left or he has already overstayed too. Getting her kids into the UK will not be easy considering her current immigration status. |

Hi all, I am new here. Planning on traveling to the UK soon with my hubby and toddler. Most of my queries have already been answered on the previous pages. However, I will like your thoughts on a few issues. I travelled to the UK once in 2010 for 6 days. At the time I only remember mentioning 2 friends I had in London. Just remembered, my sis and her family were invited by a cousin 2years ago, they spent 2 weeks with him. Also, asked my dad who travels frequently to the uk on work related trips and vacations and he says he and my mom acknowledge this cousin on their application. Truth be told we know a number of friends and distant relatives in the UK and I don't see the point mentioning people I am not necessarily close to and probably won't see on the trip. I do not want it to seem funny that I do not acknowledge him since others in my family do. Do I mention him on the form this time?will it be a problem since I didn't the last time? I am hoping the fact that it is a cousin and not a primary relationship like mom,dad or siblings will help. This time we are going the hotel booking route...I have noticed that location is key. We are booking in Stratford, I feel that should be fine. Our budget is 6000usd, it is below hubby's monthly salary and we have much more in savings. I hope we are on track so far. It is the first visit for hubby and my son but we have visited the US and Dubai together . Hubby has also been to France,UAE and Belgium on business trips. He has obtained the uk visa 2ce but didn't use it but I have read here that it isn't going to be a problem. Sorry for the long stories , I am looking forward to the trip already. Thanks. |

maestro03: Thanks a lot. We bought an emirates return ticket for the date and we are not going to overstay. We understand the implication from experience on this thread and we are planning to renew after this. So we won't do anything to jeopardize that. |

Hi guys, Please I need your help, yesterday my mom n I were refuse a UK tourist visa again on another new set of reasons. This r their reasons: You state that you wish to travel to the UK where you know nobody with your daughter for tourism purposes and will be staying in an hotel outside of London. You have not previously travelled outside of Nigeria and do not appear to have travelled recreational before. Furthermore you have not provided evidence of that you and your travelling companion are related as declared and given that you do not share a common surname and the age difference is relatively small. Those are their reasons even thou we provided my birth certificate with her name in it and also pictures from when I was a baby snap with her till date. I don't know wat else they want from us. If single parents can't travel with their children again. Please @justwise n other gurus am in desperate need of ur input. |

Vanillasky:There is a difference between Neglect and Lie, it is not a big deal for not mentioning your cousins' names since they are not your immediate family members (like Mother, Father, Brothers, Sisters, Children, Spouse or Fiance). There are those who have 20 cousins in the UK, should there be a problem if they failed to mention all of them in their application form? |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 2 by justwise(m): 2:35pm On Mar 21, 2015 |
mizIvy: Give it a break then apply as individual, your mum can afford it and you can as well if you give yourself sometimes to get enough into your account. They don't seem to believe that you are related to your mum. |

Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 2 by justwise(m): 2:44pm On Mar 21, 2015 |
mizIvy: Replying immediately will look desperate, it's just holiday, if you want try another country..SA, US etc for your holiday then try the UK later, it does work. |

Kudos Good ppl, am asking this on behalf of my sister. She has a valid UK visa for more that 6months after returning home but she can not re-use it due to some personal reasons and the type of visa , now she want to apply for a tourist/visiting visa. Do you think it will be granted or she should wait till the recent visa expired. Note the old visa is on expired old passport. |
