My kid brother in Imsu (final year) got the laptop after so much struggle. We plugged it @ home and left it to charge. After about thirty minutes, we heard "kpum" with the charging port showing some little black smoke like a burnt offering. Omo see gobe!!! Na so the toy just kpafka like that. Tufiakwa!

Dt was how were decieved, wen I was doing my youth service in imo state 2013.he said he will be paying us state allawi, without payin a kobo, Okorocha is a scam.

Here is a man TRYING to develop his state.. TRYING to make things easier for most especially the students in his state.. Here's a governor TRYING to set a new trend,, yet those simpletons are quick to ridicule him..

His only crime being that he associated with APC.. So whatever he does can never be right in their eyes..

I pity this country.. we are quick to condemn a man cos of his party affiliation,, yet we are quick sing praises for an incompetent and corrupt man just cos he's from our tribe.. What a foolish mentality.. Let's see where it'll take us all..

Whenever I read stuffs like this from d Nigerian youths I just get so ashamed... These laptops were mass produced, it can't all be perfect. But this man has tried to promote education in his state and I think y'all should appreciate his kind gestures instead of bad mouthing him. I'm sure most of u would fail if given d opportunity to lead with these childish comments I see here. God bless Nigeria and all that mean well for her.

When ex governor Ohakim was condemned and kicked out of Imo state, it wasn't because of his PDP affiliation, T A Orji receives more insult than Okorocha can ever do and he is in PDP.
God will punish ALL of you who keep making excuses for Okorocha's incompetence and outright deceit. To you giving students laptop that doesn't last a week is how to develop a state.
Imolites know better and they know what they want, so don't judge you fool!

Lets assume it happened (although something tells me it didn't sha grin.) There is what is called DOA in manufactured products.DOA=dead on arrival. How is that Rochas fault,and your case is one out of how many??. Pls do not use your bad mouth to spoil someone's effort at making things right so that no one will do same to you. smiley

Giving fake laptop is not a way of promoting education neither if giving a fake free education. Since Okorocha's fake free education began, the number of Imo state indigenes offered admission into IMSU have reduced because the government prefers students from other states who will have to pay fees, does that make sense to you?
He also astronomically increased the acceptance fee and other fees previously being paid to cushion the effect of the lack of school fees, so what is the point?
A serious government would have spent time and money improving on the infrastructure in schools, equipping them properly and motivating the lecturers rather than this fake and deceitful free education.
The acceptance fee and other fees are so high that I can vouch that no single family who couldn't send their children to the university before Okorocha have been able to do so now, so what is the point? I ask again.
I focused on the university because free education up to secondary level is applicable to other states in the country.
