shachris:Do not vote for him if you don't want to. Participation in debates have never been a decider of political contests in Nigeria. Obiano performed very poorly in debates last year but he still won. Jonathan dodged all debates in 2011 but still won. If Buhari decides not to participate in debates, so be it. It would have no effect whatsoever on his policies as a president. |

omenka: Nigeria of today is not the same of 2011 and even 2013. There are lot of enlightened educated voters out there that are still undecided. i have never seen APC as an analogue party. i have always thought APC would be the pacesetters. they should have even been the first to engage in any debate. 3 Likes |

shachris:Oga, if you want to know what Buhari has to offer, visit the APC manifesto thread, something PDP doesn't have; all they do is insult and peddle blatant lies. The latest being that Buhari married Aisha when she was only 9years old when in fact she got married at 19! If it is gonna take a debate alone for you to vote Buhari regardless of what he has to offer, which are all contained in the party's manifesto, then goodluck to you. |

Will Jonathan win this debate? NO But his attendance and subjecting himself to the democratic process is what matters to me The Arrogant Buhari who clearly have no respect for Nigerians decided to dodge the debates just as he refused to fill his form correctly This excercise will help deepen democracy in Nigeria and once again APC/Buhari are too arrogant to participate. Just as the refused to participate in confab! 2 Likes |

mikeansy: the false confidence these APC goons are exhibiting is really scary. Imagine snubbing a national debate and still insist that they must win. I wonder what would happen if they do not win. 2 Likes |

Re: Why Is Buhari Absent From The Debate? by omenka(m): 4:38pm On Mar 22, 2015 |
shachris:So he had a prepared speech when he faced Amanpour. He had same when he faced that BBC reporter. He had one when he fielded questions in Chatam House. Smh. I edited my post above. Go suck on that. Some of you have your heads so deep in the president's rump all you can see and smell is his shit. |

tomzman: same here. but i charged my inverter and got it ready for it. Because it is today that i actually want to make up my mind on who to vote. I won't vote on one generic manisfesto. tell me to my face how you would do the things you are planning to do. 2 Likes |

mikeansy: Do you really expect Buhari to go to a debate at NTA that has consistently aired a domonizing documentary about him? Do you expect Buhari to share a stage with GEJ that has continuously sponsored lies and supported death wishes on him? With or with no debate, GMB will win. 1 Like |

shachris:Don't take it the wrong way bro. But that's just the truth, will your leaving have an impact? Maybe...but you should also know that as you leave, there'l probably be five people replacing your exit. And I don't see how you being 'highly placed' makes any difference either, 'cause even If I work under you, you definitly can't influence me on who to vote for. And I'm pretty sure the people you have influence over have their own individual convictions. 1 Like |

shachris: And why should GEJ of all contestants should still be asked what he intends to do after 5 years as the president? Now, that's another issue. The debate is not even a debate in the real sense of it. It's just a Q&A session which makes it even worthless. |

Folks that can hardly stand a mile close to where others do in real life would come here posting trash like airheads from the mid-twenties. Sincerely,i am very much disappointed with Buhari and Apc as a whole. For days,i have been waiting for this debate,i saw this as an opportunity for them to win more electorates to their camps.i wanted to hear their practical measures on changing Nigeria.Unfortunately, buhari absconded for reasons best known to him.,so am no longer interested in Apc change. From my assessment of this debate,i am going to vote for martin onovo, the Ncp party representative.Buhari has just lost my vote. 3 Likes |
