Wishing everyone a relaxful weekend. |
Re: Oil Workers Zone. by donmatin(m): 3:57pm On Mar 21, 2015 |
Depending on d kinda haus u want, batcher is cheap block haus is slightly expensive.Bcus bonny island is close 2 high sea, ders only salt water,d issue of water is solvd by rain or tankers supplying u.anytin u buy in bonny is expensive almost double d price.my little contributn, over 2 Scantee IHate9ja1: |

hey guys came across the thread and i thought i should share my challenge with the guru/experienced dudes in the house. i have got an interview with a big oil and gas company, just found out that part of questions would also come from one's background however i have never practiced as a mechanical engineer ever since i graduated many years ago, have been on the sales and marketing lane. i really don't know how deep the questions could be? whether it would be a core engineering questions? dont know where to start from? should i dust my old long-abandoned text books even though some of us crammed just to pass our exams please guys i need your candid advice or suggestions please its a graduate trainee position...wish to change my career path experienced dudes, please what kind of mechanical engineering questions should i expect? really don't know where to start preparing besides... will highly appreciate suggestions, recommendations etc Thanks |

Re: Oil Workers Zone. by scantee(m): 9:51pm On Mar 23, 2015 |
IHate9ja1:Bonny is not a place where someone that is not working or doing any business can survive, basically 90% individuals there base there survival through the companies, if you study the area well, u will notice that business and activities starts booming around 25th or last friday of every month which is compulsory date for payment of workers salaries for all the companies, talking about house rent it all depends on the individual choice, all my stay in Bonny i lived @ RA1, that is nlng staff quarters, from there i moved to SPDC/RA when i joined Shell, though i rented a self contain @ Sandfill area Mission road, but hardly visit there except on leave or wanna do some crazy things (u knw na) is quite expensive though but i have no choice, is @ rate of 18k per a month, but if your looking for house in these following areas is a bit cheaper, Hospital road, Akiama, New road, macualy, kokonut,Twon, & many other places, some companies have their workers camp there. But one common thing i noticed is that most none indegens prefer batcher houses, though u gotta respect them when you enter insde and see how good they funish the house, most batchers goes @ rate of 3k to 3.5k per a month, while block houses goes between 5k/7k depends; the issue of water is not much problem because taps is rushing in most of the town, the area that is not reached thankers will supply water to them, each tanker is expected to supply 5x per a day to its unit/area @ rate of 20k X 5 = 100k per day. Though the contract is rotational, is being sponsord by Nlng and managed by Bonny Utility Centre (BUC) Same company incharge of electricty management though the electrictiy is a JVC project sponsord by both Nlng/Shell and co, headed by Mr Jack. If you want to join the contract of water supply, just register your company with nlng supplier portal, then choose water supply as part of your community services, after which go to BUC and submit application for water supply, they will come and supervise your tanker/driver/conductor if them pass the safety test then your good to go, your name will be forwarded to the union that is in charge in the water station, note the Tanker must be washed every twenty days and monthely test will be conducted on it. If wish to live in Finima cool but 90% residents there are indegens, so be sure to face a lot of discrimination, while the main bonny town can boost of at least 50% none indegens. 1 Like |

Re: Oil Workers Zone. by scantee(m): 10:36pm On Mar 23, 2015 |
IHate9ja1:hmm you want to transport ur 2015 Model Range Rover? Bonny gals go finish u oo, any way is simple, jst go to to nlng or mobil jetty in ph with ur vehicle docs, fill the form they will verify ur docs, you pay between 100k-200k depending on the type of the car, within 24hrs-48hrs u have it in Bonny through their badge. Then be ready to settle the Custom/NA at Bonny/NLNG jetty before they can allow you. But if you dont have money you can go the local style, take your vehicle to Bonny jetty those cotonu boat that are bringing in foods stuff @ night will help u @ rate of 50k, but expect scratches on ur car. Have used this method to brought in my Honda in 2007. Having ur personal car in bonny when ur not indegen is very stupid, have learnt my lesson in a hard way in 2008 when militants threatend everybody to leave the island or be beheaded. |
