Hello everyone. After two miscarriages (last December and middle of last month), the doctor discovered I had cervical incompetency and strongly advised a cervical stitch for subsequent pregnancies. I need information on how much its done, what stage of pregnancy its done and where it can be done. Anyone that has gone through it should pls give any advise available. Well, I do not know about cost....but I guess it won't cost more than N60000(But that is a guess !)

Stage of pregnancy....Usually at 14-18 weeks of pregnancy(That's why you should register for ANC as soon as you get pregnant....don't wait till you are four months gone like most Nigerian women.).

Where to do it? Do it at a teaching hospital and have it done by a qualified gynecologist (if possible get a consultant gynaecologist to do it).

I had 2 miscarriages before d doctor told me I had cervical incompetence and d solution was a cerclage, I did research and found out everything I needed to know about d procedure, so when I got pregnant again I went at 12 weeks to do it. at 38weeks it was removed and I had my baby 2 weeks later. it is a very simple procedure but you have to go to expert doctors. there is nothing to worry about. and u will have to be very careful after d stitch, I did not make love after d stitch cos my hubby was so scared, but in all my daughter is 11 months old. so I am a success story.

Bushdoc pls...I need help,I hv dis hard and painful lump on my buttock and its so painful even to d slightest touch,I cant sit for too long and I cnt lie on my back too...i tried puncturing it to see it ws an abscess bt no puss came out,mayb d punture dint go in well...bt d lump is realy hard and painful...i went on google to ask abt it and I saw people's comments nd some of d doctor's advice wer to go see a physician to possibly cut it open sayin antibiotics dnt help...I dnt knw wat to do...its too painful
