Nothing will stop the election on Saturday. Irrespective of what happens on Wednesday all parties have a right of appeal to the court of appeal and then on to the Supreme Court. Should GMB be held to lose this case on Wednesday, the court of appeal will immediately grant an ex - parte stay of judgement pending the final resolution of the matter as the " balance of convenience" is in favour of such. Based on the times for filing and disposing of such suits it does not appear likely that such a suit would be heard before the eventual winner of the election is sworn in. As such this suit serves nothing more than nuisance value. 10 Likes 2 Shares |

Longeria: These guys should stop fooling Nigerians. Nobody is gonna disqualify GMB in this eleventh hour. That will mean more killing even before election, unless the move is to stop the election altogether. We must go to the polls. |
