It is ok if the judge gives APC a soft landing in this case in view of the country's situation but I think it is quite unfair for Lai Mohammed a senior citizen of this country to insinuate that PDP or the president of the federal republic of Nigeria bought the judgement. I think APC is going too far and with time nobody will have any iota of regard for the party.

Must you also rubbish the judiciary just to get to elective position. This is quite unfair to the judiciary and the country at large.

I am sorry, he is not going to get any soft landing of any kind. Nobody is against the law. If he is found wanton, let him face the music. He that comes to equity must come with a clean hands. he has killed many for drug trafficking and other minor offences. why should he get soft landing. is he above the law? honestly, this man is forger, lied under the oath, commited perjury of the higest order and some of still see him as your saints and a perfect man. Nothing like rubbishing the judiciary. The truth is that he had no result. Cambridge refused to release his resul except Buhari ordered for it.He refused to get it from them knowing that it is different from the one he submiited. Well, Nigerian Government had already verified from Ghana west african examination council which had a copy and buhari's name is cospicously missing from the list. LET THE LAW HOLD. Other nation like america would applaud the nation for upholding the rule of law.

The plaintiff has a right to bring the matter to court at the time of his choosing.
I know they can but it is portraying GEJ in a bad light. Elections in Nigeria are very volatile and our politicians should do their best to desist from actions that might lead to violence.

When you lie on oath to a public officer in Nigeria, it is called perjury & it is a jailable offence, Buhari should have known that when he lied to INEC in an affidavit that his credentials are with the millitary board he was breaking a law in Nigeria.
And worse still, APC asked those offended to go to court, why are they afraid again?
They were so confident that PDP could not sue them because court was on then. Unfortunately for them, they were playing with the master of the game.

Some of you just come here to rant crap. The case in court is not on the academic qualification of Buhari, but whether or not he lied on oath (perjury).

I asked a friend's father who is a judge at a federal high court about what do judges normally do in such cases like this one e.g concerning buhari qualification or disqualification,,he gave me an answer that "shocked"me,he quoted the bible and said"blessed is the man that acted with wisdom"..and i asked him what is he trying to say,he said "wisdom is more stronger than law"""and he kept quiet,then i started thinking to myself what is this man trying to say then i later found out from him that the court will dismiss the case for the sake of "peace and unity"in the country,i told him but nobody is above the "law"he replied and said,"wisdom is above the law".....

that got me thinking throughout yesterday........

Richard Grenell, a former envoy of the United States of America, has warned Nigerians not to elect former military dictator, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (retd), of The All Progressives Congress in the March 28 Presidential election.
The former spokesman for four United States Ambassadors to the United Nations, noted that Buhari if elected will be a diaster for Nigeria and Africa, stressing that he will signal trouble for the West’s fight against ISIS and terrorism throughout the Middle East.
He urges Nigerians to re-elect President Goodluck Jonathan of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
He made this known in an article titled, Nigeria on the brink and published on Washington Times, of Thursday, March 19, 2015.

With the polls closed in Israel, international election observers now turn their attention to the Nigerian elections on March 28. The choice for the leader of Africa’s most populous country pits Goodluck Jonathan from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) against Mohammadu Buhari of the All Progressives Congress (APC). The decision by the roughly 73 million registered Nigerian voters could have a profound impact on the future of Africa.
But Western foreign policy observers pre-occupied with the rise of ISIS in the Middle East should wake up to the reality unfolding in Nigeria. Opposition candidate General Buhari wants Sharia law throughout Nigeria. In fact, he wants it everywhere.
“I will continue to show openly and inside me the total commitment to the Sharia movement that is sweeping all over Nigeria,” Mr. Buhari said. “God willing, we will not stop the agitation for the total implementation of the Sharia in the country.”

Agitation? Is this an indication that Mr. Buhari supports violence because the end goal of the terrorist attacks throughout Nigeria and Africa is an Islamic state? It is a legitimate question that should be asked by leaders of the Obama administration.
Boko Haram has pledged its allegiance and support to ISIS. The northern Nigerian based Islamic terrorist group wants Sharia law throughout Nigeria and beyond. They are also actively terrorizing Chad, Niger and Cameroon with their goal of an Islamic state.
Mr. Buhari has also spoken sympathetically about members of the terrorist group Boko Haram, has cautioned against a rush to judgement on its members and has personally been selected by the terrorist group to lead its negotiations with the Government of Nigeria.
Mr. Buhari’s election as Nigeria’s head of state would be a disaster for Africa. It would also signal trouble for the West’s fight against ISIS and terrorism throughout the Middle East.
Islamic radicals have Africa on their target list and young Nigerians are reported to be interested in ISIS’ messages. Nigeria is at a tipping point. Tunisia, where the Arab Spring uprisings began, saw a deadly Islamic terrorist attack at a popular museum killing 23 people this week.
ISIS attacked a hospital in Libya within the last few days and Boko Haram killed 54 people with 4 suicide bombers in Nigeria last week. The West, and specifically the Obama Administration, needs to wake up to the growing problem.
The French government has been fighting ISIS in Africa for the past two years, starting in Mali but with little help from the Obama Administration. As terrorism grows in yet another region of the globe, American and Western officials should realize they are not stopping the advancements of Islamic radicals. Al-Qaida is not dead and ISIS is not a JV team.
The recent moves by the White House against Israeli leader Benjamin Netanyahu signal a willingness by President Obama and his team to intervene in foreign elections. The sitting President Goodluck Jonathan has committed to defeating Boko Haram and overseeing a free and fair election.
The Nigerian economy has been growing faster than South Africa’s. Imagine what Nigeria could do for Africa if it was also free of Boko Haram’s violence. The Obama Administration should be doing more to ensure Africa’s most populous country doesn’t slip away.

This is just a reminder that all Jonathan's problems started from his inability to apply wisdom. I pray that he will get it right this time so that you and me can still be here together in the future thinking of how to make things better for our country.
If by error, he made a mistake by not apply wisdom in this case, everybody will loose but his own loss and that of his people will be greater.
If it is his destiny to have another four years there is nothing anybody can do about it. If it is not his destiny let him go back home to rest in peace. It is more honorable to go home and leave in peace than be in Aso Rock with had I know.
You should know by now that God is on Jonathan's side and it is his destiny to rule, if not the people that held the powers of the land would never have given a southerner, an ijaw for that matter an opportunity in aso rocks. What most of you threatening refuse to accept is that in the 1966 war, it was not the northerners or yorubas that fought and won that war alone. Bendel of Edo and delta, rivers of rivers and bayelsa fought the ibos too. Ogbemudia liberated benin. In this era, so much has changed and southerners aren't underdogs anymore. Ijaw militants held Nigeria hostage at a time. If you think southerners are the scared ones come to our campuses and talk nonsense. They kill just for the sake of colours. The only thing that differentiates a regular soldier from street soldiers is weapon and cause. When it happens there will be an equaliser. She u sabi read!

so what the judge meant is that Buhari is guilty but in the interest of peace, they will apply wisdom by not disqualifying Buhari, but strike out the case...right? Wisdom is above the law which means Buhari is above the law right?

APC should just present the certificate so there won't be any need for disqualification. No need to cry foul when the right thing is neglected.

If anyone lies on oath he deserves to be disqualified as soon as possible that was what my friend's father told me...but he said the judge would not want to give such judgement in a delicate period like this he used the term "strategic ethics"whatever that means...

but why all these propaganda by APC, first they started acquising PDP with shifting election date, now that could not work the second was acquising the President of interim goverment, that could work. now is Buhari's qualification. Look APC should all these. leave the president alone and bring out convincing manifestos.

why cant this jonathan just accept the wish of the people without causing problem for himself at last? He has been embarrassing himself and muddling the name of the country. I think the man needs to be cautioned before he will end up worst like Gbagbo. The whole world is by every minutes watching him with all sots of dishonest manners.
