maestroferddi: Man you just proved my point right. You don't win people over to your side by insulting/bullying them. But I will still pretend not to see your insults. Were the Igbos being insular, tribalistic or belligerent when they voted for Obasanjo instead of Buhari and even Ojukwu in 1999 and 2003? In 1999 no one had a choice because there were only two options on ground and they were both Yorubas. In 2003 the general election was total fraud as stated on wikipedia (whether you voted or not, it wasn't your vote that brought him in)so your claim on voting for a particular Yoruba man is flawed. In 2007 there were two major candidates both from the north. Now that any Ijaw man from the minorities happen to be in power, agents of short-sightedness and bigotry like you want him out at all cost. What is Jonathan's sin other than that he hails from the perceived wrong part of the country? No one is against someone from an ethnic minority. If you've forgotten, when he was against the so called cabal, people came out on the streets of Lagos to protest. The protests were led by Yorubas. In 2011 we all voted for him because he claimed to have no shoes growing up. His sin started in Jan 1 2012 with the removal of subsidy without preparing modalities to cushion the effect on the masses. Since then it has being from one great sin to the other. The worst was that he never took responsibility for any of it being the CEO of the nation. I also believed the sins are not hidden for anyone to see except someone in denial. His sins are so much that you will have to put them into various Heads and sub heads. Both direct sins and vicarious sins(PEJ). Even his wife admits that he has failed, telling us we should allow him to repeat. This is Nigeria(a Nation of 170million people) not some primary school. Are you more patriotic than the Igbos who have exhibited political maturity in waiting for their turn? Or do you think that Igbos do not have the resources and the capacity to further overheat the polity by joining the fray? Patriotism indeed. As patriotic as the biafrans. Talking about joining the fray. If you've not joined the fray then what are you doing here defending the clueless fisherman. 80% of TAN members on this forum are brothers/sisters from the SE. So are you still talking about joining the fray or you're mixed in the fray already. The Igbos would support Jonathan because it is the proper thing to do. No amount of thoughtless propaganda and persecution will make us change our resolve.Yes it is the Igbotic thing to do, to support Ebele Azikiwe even with all the evidence of failure staring at you. We all know when our (the Igbos') opportunity would eventuate. When that time comes, we shall have our way and nobody would stop us. We wont need to ingratiate ourselves to anybody to achieve our objectives. The Igbos are too big/relevant in Nigeria to become marginal players in the scheme of things. Yes you don't need the support of anyone because you're so big to have produced the most leaders for the nation. Dats why your minority neighbour has produced president while you the giant majority has not tasted it since God knows when abi. Shio Take my advice, coming from a politically sophisticated tribe. Politics is a game of chess/draft. You learn how to negotiate and make sacrifice. Yorubas sacrificed the woman from south west that couldve being the speaker of house of reps just to get rid of PDP in the south west. While also gaining ally from the north east. Now PDP/GEJ is sweating for it. 1 Like 1 Share |

They said Buhari will take us back if elected President! Nigerians say it's a good decision to go back when you've lost your way on a 16yrs PDP journey where our destination as a nation is no longer visible. Please, Buhari, take us back to the era where: 1. One Dollar was less than one Naira. It is incredible today! 2. Everything was on first come first serve basis. 3. There was zero tolerance for corruption. 4. Oil refineries in PortHarcourt, Warri & Kaduna were built & running at full capacity. 5. Anybody with questionable wealth was afraid to display it in public. 6. There was Zero tolerance for indiscipline. Everything was in order 7. Nigeria had no debt at all. 8. Neglecting your children was a crime 9. Littering the public place was a crime 10. Twenty oil depots were built and functioning. 11 Western world can't interfere into our nation. 12. Chad invaded Nigeria, we sent them packing but did not harness their Land 13. Our economy was NOT running on generator 14. We can sleep with our eyes closed because we were secured. 15. Countries like Indonesia and Malaysia need not to set example on how to deal with drug pushers. 16. The Maitaseine Islamic Sect insurgency in the North was crushed on record time. 17. We want those days when Buhari was a military Governor but did not amass illegal wealth. 18. We want those days when Buhari was a Minister of Petroleum but did not hire a private jet for N10 billion. 19. We want those days when Buhari was a Head of State but did not loot the Treasury. 20. We want those days when Buhari was Head of PTF but did not steal the Fund even in the days of Abacha when stealing was the order of the day. Pls, Buhari & Osinbajo, take us BACK! We can't afford another 4yrs of waste in the hands of PDP!!! Take us BACK to the good old days of this our great nation. If you want this to happen, circulate the message!!! |
