agaugust: So my friend what you saying I should agree with what you are saying here or else I'm a South African. No offense but you are a crazy guy. We are not on the same level, you deal with myths and fantasies while I service planes in real live. On the Portuguese issue if I were you I would leave that one aside because I'm not going on the usual african inferiority syndrome of resorting to culture/clan when someone has a disagreement with you. In the meantime I'm fascinated by your broad imagination. 2 Likes |

agaugust: Gripen is better than the Su30M/K - confirmed by independant analysts While the F-16C Block 50/52+ could only sort of break even with the SU-30MKK in terms of overall air combat performance, the Gripen C clearly trounces the Flanker-G in BVR and WVR avenues of air combat, . http://www.rhk111smilitaryandarmspage.com/the-flanker-g-killer-the-jas-39c-gripen-versus-the-su-30mkkmk2-flanker-g/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=the-flanker-g-killer-the-jas-39c-gripen-versus-the-su-30mkkmk2-flanker-g 2 Likes |

@AGAUGUST STOP TURNING YOURSELF INTO A MONKEY JOKE AND INSTEAD FACE THE REALITY WITH FACTS. GRIPEN WILL NOT FEAR YOUR F7 EVEN IF WE WERE TO ARM IT WITH THE BEST BVR IN THE WORLD, HENCE I REPEAT THIS POST. EVEN IF AN F7 JET CAN BE ARMED WITH BVR IT WILL STILL NOT DEFEAT GRIPEN JET. THE GRIPEN JET WILL DETECT IT FIRST WITH ITS WIDER DETECTION RADAR AND STAND A CHANCE TO FIRE THE FIRST SHOT. THE F7 CANNOT FIRE THE MISSILE UNLESS IT HAS DETECTED THE GRIPEN AND WHAT SADDENS THE MOST IS THE FACT THAT BEFORE IT CAN DETECT THE POSITION OF THE GRIPEN IT WOULD HAVE BEEN LONG DETECTED BY GRIPEN AND HENCE IT WOULD HAVE BEEN DEAD. THE BVR IS NOT THE BEST PLATFORM FOR J7/F7 BECAUSE IT HAS POOR DETECTION RADAR. THE ENEMY WILL ALWAYS DETECT IT FIRST AND APPROACH IT FROM BEHIND OR FROM ITS WEAKEST LINK. |

agaugust: NO MEDICINE IN THE WHOLE WORLD CAN CURE YOUR MENTAL SICKNESS. YOUR SOURCE CLEARLY SPEAKS ABOUT SAM VARIANT AND JUST UNDERNEATH THEY ALSO REFLECTED THAT THE OTHER VARIANT IS AIR-TO-AIR WHICH WITH THE RANGE OF 22KM. HOWEVER, EVEN IF WE WERE TO GIVE NIGERIAN F7 JET A BVR WITH 120KM, IT WILL STILL NOT DEFEAT GRIPEN BECAUSE OF ITS POOR DETECTION RADAR. GRIPEN WILL ALWAYS HAVE THE UPPER HAND OF DETECTING IT FIRST. |

TAKEN FROM THE HORSES MOUTH. HE SPEAKS BAD OF F7 ON BEEGEAGLE AND NOW HERE HE WANTS TO SCARE US WITH 1955 MACHINE WITH A MERE FIRE CONTROL RADAR OF JUST 22KM. Augustine on December 30, 2014 at 12:25 am F-7 jet is a waste of money, a disgrace for NAF to fly a year 1955 design aircraft in 2015. Do poor nations Eritrea and Uganda fly F-7 jets? If my country does not love me, well me I love my country, I won’t pray for myself to buy Kia Picanto when my neighbours on the same street are buying Toyota Camry. Why should I pray for Nigeria to waste money of F-7 jet? 4 crashed in 4 years like annual ritual. Sell off all NAF the F-7NI jets to South Sudan or Congo DRC and transfer skills to them. Use NAF Mi-35 Hinds to launch our PGM now if guided weapons are urgent for use against Boko Haram. Su-25 SM version PGM armed is the jet Nigerian needs for COIN. JF-17 Block II and Su-30 MKI…..those are the jets Nigeria needs for multi-role/air superiority today and beyond today. https://beegeagle./2014/12/26/nigerian-air-force-gunship-crew-and-a-modernised-2014-delivery-mi-35p-attack-helicopter/ 1 Like |

patches689: Look here dude, I have taken air defence warfare courses under ex-military men in a private company, not on internet. Answer for your 50 million people South African nation of half-brains that are at the bottom of world table in maths and science : Missiles and communication base fire control radars usually have shorter data transmission range vertically than horizontally. Proof : SANDF Umkhonto missile has 20 km long range horizontally, but only 8 km short 'range' or altitude/ceiling vertically. "Performance Characteristics Range : 20 km Ceiling : 8 km Maximum Mach No. : 2 Time of flight to 8 km:18 s" http://www.deneldynamics.co.za/products/missiles/air-defence-missiles/umkhonto Why is that so with Umkhonto missile? agaugust: It is amazing that SA are at the bottom of Non-academic rating of Maths and Science not in the world but in the small brains of WEF, yet they lead Africa in terms of Medical science, Engineering and defence technology. Is that not ironic? We know that our students score more than all African countries in international maths and science exams, not some flawed survey compiled by some illiterate business men at their back yards by portraying their anger on the current black government. However, before I complete my statement, I suggest that you get a better education because the one you currently acquired in Nigeria is regrettable. 1 Like |

You thus confirm that one is guided by one means and another by a different means! patches689: Msauza: Israeli technology transfer from 1960s to 1980s to South Africa, the best Israeli engineers were imported with all missile a d rocket science technology into South. Africa to build your defense industry. European countries like British BAE and German Rheinmetal have also established defense equipment manufacturing factories inside South Africa in full technology transfer with European engineering expatriates working for you daily. Did your retaarded black brains create the BMW cars manufactured inside South Africa? Your over hyped nation is run by foreign brains not your dull Soweto parasites who live on government cash support for the millions of men who refuse to go to school or to do any work . |

agaugust: 1. WTF is a "medium" AFV 2. You have no helo's that can carry your existing LAV's... So, this is just ridiculous. agaugust: Not neccesariliy, but ok. So you need 3 platforms (LAV, Wheeled IFV, tracked IFV) agaugust: Basically every wheeled IFV is air transportable IFV sans turret = APC So, we are still at 3 needed vehicals agaugust: First, what the actual fvck is a "tank destroyer"... its 2014 buddy, apart from missile armed IFV's and AFV's there is no such thing. O... wait... you are talking about armed Recon and fire support... OK. Not to mention that you can slap missiles on an IFV and TA-DA - tank destroyer. There are dozens of IFV's that are amphibious. So, we have narrowed it down to: 1. IFV (Wheeled) = Amphibious, air-transportable, can be an APC 2. IFV (tracked) = Amphibious, air-transportable, is basically a "light tank" if you buy the right one 3. Fire-Support/Recon AFV 4. LAV = Amphibious, air-transportable, can be an APC 5. MBT So there you have it, you need around 5 vehical types in your army. Nigeria has 26 (excluding MRAP's) 26 different vehicals = - logistical nightmare - training nightmare - doctrineal nightmare - operational nightmare - maintenance nightmare 26 different vehicals shows nothing but a lack of foresight, planning, peace-time preperation, cohesive doctrine. It is the mark of a second rate military. |

agaugust: Chief, almost everything was developed through transfer of skills including Maths and Science. Why does it have to bother me where SA got the skills from. The world all over has acquired every Mathematical skills from Einstein and others. It doesn't matter where do we get education from, but SA leads Africa in Medical science, Engineering and Defence technology. BAE, German Rheinmetal established their businesses in SA knowing for sure that South African universities are competitive in terms of producing quality engineers in the world and so is BMW automobile company. Many models of BMW were designed in SA by South Africans using the education acquired from SA. 2 Likes 1 Share |

patches689: Nope, I proved that you are very wrong and half illiterate. Stop running away from my simple question, why does Umkhonto missile fly 20 km range but only 8 km altitude ? Why ? So if DENEL makes Umkhonto version for Gripen jet that flies at 15 km, the Gripen must descend down to 8 km to fire the Umkhonto missile? Are you sick? Yes you are mentallly sick ! Have you ever seen air to air missile data with maximum ceiling or altitude ? The maximum altitude of any air to air missile is equal to the maximum altitude of the jet fighter launching it. Fool Also, my photo showed you that when a modern day missile is strictly ground launch version, they are stored/cased inside silos/boxes, or tubes When it is same missile that is attached to aircraft pylons/hardpoint for air launch, the missiles are also pylon/hardpoint attached to launcher in the ground based version because it's exactly the same missile. PHOTO 1 : PL-9C AIR LAUNCH, OPEN ON PYLON PHOTO 2 : PL-9C GROUND LAUNCH, OPEN ON PYLON PHOTO 3 : UMKHONTO MISSILE STRICTLY GROUND LAUNCH ONLY, CLOSED, ENCLOSED INSIDE SILOS/TUBE/BOX COVER .
