Three days to the presidential and National Assembly election, a total of 153,185 Permanent Voter Cards for registered voters in Ogun State are still being expected on Tuesday.

The Resident Electoral Commissioner, Independent National Electoral Commission in the state, Chief Timothy Ibitoye, confirmed this in a telephone interview with our correspondent.

He said,”We are still expecting the balance of 153,185 PVCs for the state are yet to be collected from Abuja.

“Meanwhile, our head of Information Communication Technology is in Abuja and we are expecting him with the remaining PVCs today or tomorrow(Wednesday).

“You know, the chairman has said the collection of PVCs has been extended till Wednesday.

The total registered voters in the state are 1,795,794, while the total number received from Abuja so far is 1,642,607.

The total number distributed is 1,136,003, and the number that remained uncollected is 506,604.

The percentage recorded on the number of PVCs collected based on the number received is 69 per cent, while the percentage recorded on PVCs collected based on registered voters is 63.3 per cent.

The state governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, had condemned the piecemeal nature in which PVCs were released to the state by INEC.

He also alleged that over 600,000 ‘strange’ PVCs, brought to the state by the commission, did not belong to the people of the state.

There's The Alarming Likelihood That We'd See Voter Apathy In Many States. Ogun Should Actually Be A Pilot State On Politics. Again, INEC Should Be Monitored. This Might Well Be A Manifestation Of Their Failings.

Ogun is fully an APC state. Not distributing PVCs to Ogun state is a crime against not just the people of the state, but also a crime against APC.

If the election holds, the owners of those PVCs can go to court with good lawyers and annul yhe election on grounds of disenfranchisement...and Jega has been boasting he is ready...can this happen in America?

I carefully listened to the INEC chairman this morning on Focus Nigeria on AIT, from all the calculations Jega presented, this elections will be the most easily rigged elections in the history of Nigeria democracy till date.

All those people chanting that they have PVC's, what the politicians wants from you is just to do accreditation that's all; leave the rest for them.I rest my case. It's going to be a monumental fraudulent elections. I can't stop laughing.

Your votes will be counted yes. but not for the party you voted for.

Naija I hail thee!

Delivered to who??

people that have been displaced to middle belt and cameroun
Someone called from BORNU saying nobody in his LG has PVC.

Those PVC'S are in someone's custody.
On election day, they will bring it out and thumb print APC.

As I speak to you about 1MILLION nigeriens and Benin rep have PVC, don't forget the Northern Elders forum donated machines for registration in the North and the purported increase in polling units in the North by Jega.

God pass them
Let God's will be done.

Meanwhile, 2. 3 Million lagosians don't have PVC and APC is not complaining

On a serious note OJUKWU WAS RIGHT.
there is no country like Nigeria, we are deceiving ourselves.

^^^My anger is that everyone knows this (more so us down south), yet nobody is doing anything about it! We tried to rectify a few anomalies in the structure and running of the country during the last national conference, but the core muslim north stood in the way of achieving anything substantial....leading to a much watered-down end result!

If APC are not complaining of the shortage in PVC collection, I suspect a serious malpractices going on? That means it favour them.
