it's not just stealing 10k that lead to his sentence. let's face the facts, he's an armed robber who is ready to kill at any given time and this is not his first time of doing it. letting him live is a danger to the lives of others. |

Wait o! We are talking about ARMED ROBBERY not mere STEALING. Before you hurl insults at the judge, you should ask yourself what the law provides as punishment for armed robbery. It is death by hanging!!. Section 406 of Criminal Code.. For the fact that the prosecution has proved its case beyond reasonable doubt, he is guilty of the offence of armed robbery and the judge MUST sentence him to DEATH BY HANGING. That is the only PUNISHMENT provided by the law for the offence of armed robbery. |

shinejackie: There is a LAW. I wish you people will learn to stop airing this inane opinion everytime news like this comes up. The penalty for armed robbers is Death, according to the laws of the land. Simple as that. If you want to steal, don't carry a weapon. 1 Like |

Hey friends, pls let's not miss the point here. The law sentenced d alledged guilty ones to death by hanging. Armed robbery is d case here and not just stealing 10k. We all know such judgement is not biased at least. Our politicians steal from us and even rob us no dougbt but taking up arms unlawfully and forcefully taking something from a fellow citizen is a punishable offence which we all know. Armed robbery have led to deaths (sometimes unplanned) and emotional trauma for those who survived. Pls let face d real issue which is armed robbery. |

siraj1402: oh my friend... i have them in high level.. come to think of it...should we let a common thief go free because the elites are not being brought to justice? i am not saying it is fair...because as we all know..the system is broken.. i am sure that's why we both want GMB on the sit..so that both a common thief and an elite thief will be brought to justice.. A thief is a thief... |

The 10,000 is not the issue, but being armed with a gun and cutlass;he could have killed or maimed his victims. The people who are stealing billions of naira are the ones who deserve death by hanging and Not 25,000 bail at the end of after being convicted, what nonsense! |
