Sundayme:

Am a young student. I have like three things
1. Begin selling phones, micro cards, etc
2. Selling toothbrushes ( especially to wholesalers and retailers)
3. Begin going to schools, and organising talent discovery seminars and the likes.

But i need money to begin with.

You may not have money but as a young person, you
have time and energy.

Once you can focus your time and energy on any of
the ideas you listed, you’ll succeed.

You can start doing something in any of those
areas. You will learn more if you take steps
everyday- no matter how small.

You can update this thread on your progress.

Cheers.

Thank you so much sir , I have read some of the advice you have suggested so far and believe u can help me out on mine too. I am into laptop and phones repairs currently but wanna gi into someyhing that can make me richer . I am considering going into events decoration and Dj business. I need an advice . Thanks in advance

Thanks for confiding in me.

Since you are already into laptop and phone repairs I advise you make a slow transition into decoration and Disc Jockey (DJ) as there seem to be a huge knowledge gap between your current trade and the one you seek.

Most successful people in this industry are passionate about what they do and are driven by the love of their jobs and thereby, consistent even while the money may not be rolling in as expected. So if your primary motive is to make money, you may need to reconsider your options.

Perhaps, you must have been experimenting with your laptop as a practising Dj. Just in cast you havent started, pls do. This is your first step. Make friends with DJs, I promise you will learn a lot from them. Get the necessary software installed, get your ear piece, have a good library of MP3 music, keep downloading latest songs and then: practice! Practice! Practice!

Event and decoration in the other hand demand creativity. Depending on the occasion, taste of clients, Guest, e.t.c Indeed, you will need some special training from an experienced person or group. Once you have locate the right person to learn from, pay the necessary fee and begin training.

Then, Start telling friends, family members of your new trade. Nothing stop you from handling your own jobs while still undergoing training. just seek for necessary assistance from knowledgeable people or trainer and split the profit.

However, where more advanced marketing, promotion, tactics, proposals and contracts are involve; I will be here to assist you.

Good Luck!

Yes, you do need nafdac number. However, if you are starting small with focus on one local market this may not be necessary. However, Where selling in big stores, shops, supper markets, wholesales, inter-markets and states etc are involved, you should seek approval.

Most times businesses register their products just to gain credibility in customers eyes. You should do thesame.

THE MAN WHO NEVER GIVE UP

Perhaps you’ve read the story of W. Mitchell. He has been dubbed and for good reasons. As a young man in 1971, he had the misfortune of being badly burned in a motorcycle accident. With burns over 65percent of his body, his face and most of his hands were literally burned off. Four years later, he was flying his own air plane when it crashed, leaving him a paraplegic. But if you think misfortune has prevented him from living a wonderful, productive life, you don’t know Mitchell. He became a millionaire in the America. He owns property in Hawaii, Colorado and California. He ran for political office, and is a fantastic motivational speaker and a wonderful human being whose contributions make the world a better place. About his life, Mitchell says, “It isn’t what happened to you, it is what you do about it…. Before all this happened to me there were ten thousand things I could do. Now there are Nine thousand. I could spend my life dwelling on the thousand I lost. But I choose to focus on the nine thousand that are left”.

Whenever I’m having a bad day, I think about Mitchell’s philosophy, look at myself in the mirror, and say. “what‘s your problem?” I remind myself that if there weren’t bad days, I wouldn’t know what a good day was. Then I go back to work. Trust me on this. No matter how talented, how ambitious, or how initially lucky you are, there are going to be disappointments, setbacks, and days when you just want to chuck it all- particularly in the beginning. When that happens, simply realize that you’re being tested. If you give in, you fail. If you persist, you pass. And if you persist long enough you become an icon and blessing to your generation.

When you get knocked down. Get back up. Learn from misfortune, but don’t dwell on it and don’t let it immobilize you. Pick yourself up, take a deep breath and get busy pursuing your goals. One of my favorite definitions of success is “going from failure to failure with great enthusiasm.” Successful people are master at the art of bounce-back-mentality.

Like everything else in life, the long range impact of tough times will not be determined by what happens to you but what you think about what happened to you and what you choose to do about it. Once you understand and accept that you are in control of your mind and your destiny you can use any Experience as in valuable lesson in learning.

Get a group of successful entrepreneur together and you will hear stories of how many different business they tried until they found one that hit big. And many, if not most of them, will tell you that the best thing that ever happened to them was being fired from a job. It was their first step on the road to great wealth. Yes! What if you don’t succeed? Dust yourself and try again. Never give up!

Since you are just starting up, its important that you consider you positioning and brand image. This is where must beginers get it wrong. This answer the question of how you want to be perceived in the market. This will ultimately save your business (Training Centre) in the long run.

Therefore, to get good numbers of trainees from the start, you need to develop contents that will attract people to your centre. It starts with defining the segments you want to focus at the moment; these include the courses you have available, competency of instructors, environment, conduciveness, etc and who need them (Target Customers).

Next is to put together a unique selling proposition; sales strategies and action plans (Sales Boosters) depending on which you can affordto; get their attentions even amidst tight competition; trainees will start coming when you get it right.

subscribe for free coaching and counseling to guide you through all the process.

Good Luck.

Real estate is big business. And commission payouts can be staggering especially when you sell expensive houses like the kind of houses in Ikoyi Lagos Nigeria going for 500 million Naira or 2 billion Naira per property. For example, an agent sold a 5 bedroom duplex in Magodo Isheri Lagos Nigeria for 45 million Naira and collected 2.25 million Naira as commission from that one transaction.

First, I recommend you practice for at least 6 months with a prosperous real estate agent or agency to get hands-on experience . . . experience that goes beyond theoretical knowledge you may have.

Secondly, register with the real estate association in your state to get mutual support from other real estate agents in your state
and tap into the network of agents and resources.

Thirdly, register with the government control agency in your state to avoid problems with the law. This will also enhance your reputation with potential real estate clients.

Good Luck

Although, there are cases here in Nigeria where people without prior experience just place sign post along the street and then, call themselves agents.

But if you intend to go far, and become one of the big short in your state, simply follow my recommendations. even before you finally open yours, you would ve connections, allies and referrals from big clients.

Enroll with one of the Top agents in your state, and you won't go wrong. people make good money even while learning. Just locate the right team.
