Two persons have been arrested by Oyo state command of the Nigeria Police for illegal possession of documents belonging to Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC. The suspects, Mr. Banji Taiwo and Joseph Ojedeji were arrested at Olorunsogo in Ona-Ara Local Government area of the state. Parading the suspects, the Commissioner of Police, Mr. Muhammed Katsina said they were caught with valid voter registration lists belonging to unit eleven of Ward 9 in Ona-Ara Local Government. The Commissioner explained that the arrest was made possible through a tip off from a member of the public. He therefore warned politicians to abide by the electoral law, saying the police would not tolerate any act of disrupting peaceful conduct of the election. One of the suspects, Mr. Banji Taiwo said the voter registration lists were given to him by one of his party members to check the name of their supporters while the second one said he was at his friend's house on a visit when he was arrested.
