Please OP beware! My late uncle was a member. They succeeded in disconnecting him spiritually from the family covenant with God and he eventually died a miserable man. His family in disarray right now. While alive, he always believed in abstract things, trying to analyze some mystery of life and death, riches, fear, healing etc. Referring us to medieval philosophy and reassuring himself of longevity and invincibility. He used to give one journal The Rosicrucian Digest, which never explained anything but running round a topic and say nothing at the end. The only thing I picked from him was that he hardly lied or conspired against anybody. I used to see a stainless bowl of water placed on a small table in his room. A strange looking ring which I never touched, different candles. I once met him meditating. Things that unfolded after his death suggests AMORC is a secret cult. His members wanted to burn his corpse saying it was his last wish, but my Dad resisted.

Pls I have questions for you.

. Did he pass it on?

. Were there any repercussions when your dad resisted his cremation?
. After he died, how are his children faring?

Well the word cult is kinda relative to me because all forms of religion have something mystic about them in a bid to understanding the Supreme Being ,what we should strive for is an understanding of what really leads to Him as it is we are in the end times we must open our eyes and hearts ask questions,seek answers but in time we'd find that if we strive to listen to our intuition/innervoice some call it spirit guide the truth we seek will be eventually be revealed like an onion a peel at a time ,however be aware of simple things like symbols e.t.c so u won't be hoodwinked

There has been so much controversies surrounding this organisation so I really don't know what to believe.Freeman proclaimed in his book that he was tormented after he left..If this organsisation were to be like a church,I would have given it a shot because have been to different churches and have left without any form of torment but I don't think its worth the risk after reading comments here..please permit me to ask you this question,are you still a member or an ex-member,if the later,were you tormented when you left?

Bros. I know for a fact that AMORC is a spiritual/philosophical cult. It is a mystical society. It is a fraternity. Adherents may claim otherwise and raise all sorts of juicy arguments to contest this. However, whatever is done in secret cannot be godly. It is like Ogboni or Freemason or Scientology. Their foundation is not God. Please don't venture into it before you find yourself entangled in what you will regret for life. I knew a guy who was a member, and he lived a sorry life. Bros, please run. However, if you open your eyes and run into a ditch, you will not say you were not warned. This is my 2 pence advice.

I agree totally that "knowledge" is relative. What "knowledge" is a man looking for again beyond what is already known. If it science, or literature or other forms of human study, I agree that "knowledge" can be pursued. However, to go into the realms of mysticism or occult to find "knowledge" is looking for trouble. Usually, those who go into fraternities do so looking for "power" or/and "knowledge" or/and "control". It is the allure of these things that draw them such things as Ogboni, AMORC, Freemason, etc. It is the same thing that lead students into cultism in schools and outside of school. We are all witnesses of the evil that cultism has wreaked in schools. The likes of AMORC, Ogboni, Freemason, etc are "adult versions" of cultism. They do not engage in physical violence, but they engage in practices that mortgage their spiritual independence.

I have never been a member,and with what I know now I don't intend to be,I see your spirit is yearning to find the truth.....and you will,here's something that might help.......Find a quiet place where you won't be disturbed and meditate on this

Anyone serious with the mystic journey knows the importance of discipline and other virtues.
Your cousin clearly lacks discipline and is a disgrace to such schools of thought if he really is a member.
It is hard to say what's wrong with him.

We learn everyday and sometimes we don't know when the knowledge we acquire will be useful..one day your son may walk up to you and tell you about his interest of joining this order,what will you tell him?..I presume you will just say its devilish without substantiating your claims.This will only heighten his curiosity because you didn't present your reasons.

He used to drink and womanize before he went abroad to do his masters(he was sponsored by his company).Then he came back and was a bit reserved but he complained of antagonism in the office I think from some members.I think that was one of the reasons he joined and all of a sudden all these traits started.The worst is he now Hates his mom he struggled to give him the best Education.
