agaugust: By simply saying "not 100% submerged in water" you are indirectly implying that the floating is taking place to some reasonable extent. If you are ignorant of some things do not try to correct your mistakes by jogging around. |

EVarn: Mr Bihari will exploit ways possible to implement it to areas which are predominantly Muslim in the North. It is not a secret that most Muslims will not let the dogs lying until they achieve the exact paradigm as set out by the holy Quoran. |

I may no longer comment so much on Nigerian matters. Has Nigeria become a two-party sate? 180 million Nigerians must either accept Buhari or Jonathan by force ? No other options? A dangerous precedent has been set....If a southern christian becomes president of Nigeria, the north will create Boko Haram war to make him look bad and destroy his government, then replace him with a northerner that looks good. So when a northern muslim becomes president and the southern christians want to pay them back in their own coin and retaliate, what will happen ? Vicious cycle and recycle ? http://dailypost.ng/2015/04/01/buharis-victory-asari-dokubo-threatens-return-to-the-creeks/ I will advice Buhari to start begging Niger Delta and apologize for saying if he does not win elections there will be bloodshed all over Nigeria....because yes, there was blood shed of over 6,000 innocent civilians in Boko Haram war 2013 to 2015.....after he lost in 2011. http://www.punchng.com/news/buhari-under-fire-over-threat-of-bloodshed/ Any how dem like make dem rule naija, me I no kuku dey house, my journey far....nothing go do me . 1 Like 1 Share |

agaugust: What is a Navy frigate doing in 5m of water? Which is the depth limit of the T-72 water crossing. Are you sure you're a military researcher? Video 1: T-72 tank crossing water COMPLETELY submerged. Doing what YOU...."the military researcher" said it does NOT do. Crossing at 00:52. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6E3eDA29iyk Video 2. T-90 tank doing the same thing. Completely submerged. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y-QWQsDNsRs Your pic is not a crossing at the max depth of 5m. You can even see the soil being kicked up behind it. That tank has its tracks on the surface of the trench. You fraud. |

If Nigeria can once agin get it right in terms of good leadership and economic stability, no millitary force in the whole of Africa will be able to withstand the Nigerian millitary force. Even some of the heavyweights i.e france, Great Britain will not find it easy with the Nigerian millitary forces. You think the Nigeria millitary force is a joke? I bet you will be in for a suprise. 2 Likes 1 Share |

Msauza:lol. No sane leader wants to have a revolt on his hands before even completing his first term in office. No one cares what the muslim doctrine dictates, the shenanigans written in the "holy" quran should be restricted to mosques. Even in the north, sharia can never be implemented due to the fact that there is no state in Nigeria that is totally muslim populated, there will always be at least 30% of christian population, and that is not even considering the traditional pantheon worshippers. Even buhari knows that dabbling into the implementation of sharia will be a big disaster. There is also politics to consider,if buhari even mentions anything like sharia,PDP will get new ammo to turn the people against him,and APC will fall. 1 Like |

Msauza:lol.MEND will never 'ressurect',they can only issue threats and make noise. You do not understand the dynamics of politics in Nigeria, there is hidden agenda everywhere, its always a game of power and intellect, that is what makes Nigeria's politics extremely competitive. If MEND revolts,it will give Buhari the excuse to declare a state of emergency in the South-South,label MEND a terrorist group and then proceed to wipe out both old and young in the quest to "return peace and decorum to the area". Moreover,MEND is still a beneficiary of government amnesty and numerous maritime contracts,so why would they revolt?. |

saengine: Bwahahaha....you are an internet based commentator Each step I take you is where you stop and google, then quickly find something to post Yes, I say it again, a tank is NOT a submarine and cannot fully submerge like a submarine, how many seconds did your tanks in the video stay under water? They can take quick dip across a river, they cannot stay submerged, no aquatic apparatus for crew underwater survival. They will soon die, and the engine compartment will succumb to small leakages that will soon flood the tank inside. Tank is NOT = Submarine. Even some car can quickly drive under a flood completely submerged with no snorkel for some seconds and come out alive, but with some interior flooding. 5m depth for Valour frigate? Did I say that? Now run back to google search on internet after I take you one step further. During beach assault, tanks do not normally fully submerge, they snorkel or simply fording, yes, but their gun barrel is outside and ready to fire in a hostile area. Any tank fully snorkeling in a danger zone is looking for quick death from the enemy. War is new to South Africans so you cannot think outside the box and picture a real combat scenario. Your youtube videos are demo in-house videos, I will show you real war scenario today. Beach landing amphibious assault, Frigates can escort landing ships to coastline, yes at the right depth, frigates go to coastline. Tanks like a T-72 in a beach assault can sight an enemy ship and attack it, the tank can fire up to 4km away from the beach deep into the ocean target. Let me show you what real war looks like below....Now go seek more help from you tube .

Msauza:Those citations are merely opinions of foreign analysts{which are rarely factual}. I sincerely doubt that buhari is reckless enough to even try to implement sharia throughout Nigeria,it will not only ruin his political career,it will also destroy his political party. Such things shouldnt be toyed with, afterall, many men have been killed for less. |
Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by saengine: 2:10pm On Apr 02, 2015 |
agaugust: Again you have failed. You have typed and typed and typed pretending to know what you are talking about. Tanks like the T-72, T-90, Tiger tank etc all have snorkels which provide air to the crew and the crew compartment is sealed from water. So tell us...what will kill the crew? Fo.ol. The T-72 tank has a water forging MAX DEPTH of 5m. What is a Navy frigate doing anywhere near 5m of water? Meaning it traverses on the bottom of the river bed, while its complete snorkel/air supply sticks out of the water surface. Main battle tanks do not do sea operations. Light infantry vehicles can. Light infantry vehicle =/= main battle tank.. You have been caught out. You fraud. Now you are panicking. |

Msauza:That was an unfortunate statement he made far back in 2007,i sincerely doubt that it really holds much relevance anymore. According to him,"..he is now a reformed democrat who believes in equal right of all Nigerians irrespective of religious or ethnic affiliations". So,do away with any talk of this sharia nonsense.Nobody can implement sharia in Nigeria, the mere idea itself is an incitement to violence. |

Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by EVarn(m): 3:21pm On Apr 02, 2015 |
@chief agaugust,i'm a bit more interested in the new military hardware acquisition by the DHQ,is the T-72 MBT as potent in coventional warfare as it is in COIN operations?.I'm curious since there have been convincing reports that despite its ruggedness, the T-72 is a useless relic when it comes to conventional warfare. |
Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by patches689: 3:40pm On Apr 02, 2015 |
EVarn: They store the ammo in the turret of the T-72 This means that a hit that would not normally destroy other tanks will cause a catastrophic destruction of the T-72 as it causes the ammo to go off. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dfbMP1yWsJ4 (Skip to 2:00 min in) Hence why you see so many pictures of the T-72 with its turret blown clean off. While the lack of spalling liners means that hits that dont penetrate the T-72 cause "spalling" on the inside of the turret (small peices of metal fly around the inside of the tank) which causes horrific crew fatalities. That being said, its effective against older generation ATGM's and RPG's and is better than anything else in the region (unless Cameroon gets the MBT 3000 from China) For me, its a necessary evil for Nigeria to aquire them now to win the war. But its not a dynasty MBT that you can expect 30-40 years service from. Something like the MBT 3000, Al-Khalid (Type90-II) or Type-99, or T80U (and variants) or any of the NATO big 4 (Leo2A7, Chally 2, Abrams, Leclerc) would be a more sound investment as despite being more expensive you will get much better capabilities and a MUUUCH longer operational life span.

@oga agaugust, abeg no vex say i dey disturb you this afternoon, but i want to ask if you or anyone else here know the number of T-72 tanks we recieved recently, and where they are from. The new delivery seem to have ERA on it,unlike some of the earlier ones from czech. |
Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by EVarn(m): 4:00pm On Apr 02, 2015 |
patches689:Why do you say that?,werent the T-62s commissioned in the 1960s,surely the T-72 is a more upgraded version of the T-62. |
Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by patches689: 4:04pm On Apr 02, 2015 |
EVarn: Yes, the T72 is newer But that is because the Russians found the T62 too expensive to mass produce and operate So they developed a plan The majority of their armored units would be "mobility" formations using the T72 which is cheaper to mass produce and operate They would then have a select few, elite, "spearhead" units which would operate the T62 Mobility units would wear the enemy down (and take the heavyest casualties) and then spearhead units would punch holes in the enemy lines which mobility units would pour through and try to exploit the breakthrough as much as possible (again taking heavy casualties) Basically, economically, the T72 is better. But as a tank the T62 is better. FYI the T80 evolved from the T62 not the T72 |
