MiracleMum:Ok, tx. As per family planning am actually thinking of implanon as am nt thinking of getting pregnant anytime soon but was advised against it cos this is my first child. They said mini-pill is best cos d effect is easily reversible. Unfortunately for me they don't do family planning at the hospital am using so I have no doc to ask for advice except the nurses around me. |

Mzora:If you can get original shea butter....mix in some quantity of ABF cream. It works wonders....at least for all d babies i've seen. The ABF is in a tube like funbact-a. You can also use pure coconut oil......although it makes light skinned people dark. |

Hello Mamas, how are you and your bundle(s) of joy? Want to ask about breast pads. I bough Avent disposable (6 in a park) but I realised that it is probably not absorbentenough for me or maybe I am the one leaking too much. My bra and cloth still gets wet and I mean super wet on the other breast once my baby is sucking. This is highly embarrassing especially now that I have started going out. Any suggestions as to good breast pads? I have not tried the disposables though cos I think its an expensive option in the long run. A friend advised that I put pressure on the second breast, it hasn't stopped serious leaking the few times I tried it. Pls I need advice o |

When I had my first baby I flowed so much, I got worried. Now I realised I was unknowingly pressing my hands on the other side while baby was suckling. Lol. My pads were always full and cloth soaked. So check and see if your hand is leaning on the other side. I know must pads are they same. I used mother care disposable too it didn't stop d " over flow" till I found what I was doing wrong. joyousf: |

mytestimony: I don't see any use for a sitzbath after a CS since there was no cut in the vagina. I didn't do one. Even with a vaginal delivery with the type of materials used for suture sitzbath is not advisable cos the suture can break and lead to open wound. 3 Likes |

Hi mamas, My baby has refused to take pap o even when I add many spoons of milk. Some one said I should add honey to his pap. Is that safe for him? . His is 4mths 2 weeks. I planned buying cerelac for him today. I pray he does not reject it. |
Re: NEW BORN BABIES! Are U A New Mum? Then Lets Discuss Babies Here!!!!! by Kimoni: 1:54am On Apr 03, 2015 |
rezzy: Honey is not good for infants until they are over 12 months old, it causes allergy. Give him cerelac for some days, then try pap again. 1 Like |

My dear don't force it. Some babies just doont like pap. Rem to start with rice cereal and not maize/ wheat. Rice is easy to digest that's why its recomended as first start rezzy: |

Hello everyone I hope that all our little ones are doing great. Pls I need your help. My 2yr old son has refused to eat. All my attempt at cajoling, petting, forcing have fallen on deaf ears. He has lost so much weight and is no longer chubby infact he is skinny now. I don't know what to do. I used to give him cyprivite or cyprigold but I stopped as someone told me it was a drug administered to mad and anorexic ppl. Pls I need a solution ASAP. Thanks a lot |

jiro:If you are sure there's no underlying sickness.....then its just a phase they go through. I have a sister like that who would use 2 hrs to eat a 30 mins food....but if you see her now, shes 2 times my size. And if your baby is like me who doesnt like real food.....try cereals...indomie....and especially tea with lots of milk. You can give him boiled egg too.....hope i helped? |

I am a single too to an adorable 5 month old princess. I thank God I didn't bow to the pressure of having an abortion. That said, I started my little girl on pap aka akamu @ age 2 months (I mixed guinea corn and yellow corn) with milk depending on how many oz in the feeder and she did very well with it. I used Nan. Will start mashed local food when she is 6 months old. She already has her first two teeth. 3 Likes |

jiro: Don't think its anything to worry about, at that age, they shed their baby fat, become very active and burn energy easily so they become quite thin. To encourage eating, give him multi vitamins and you could let him choose the food he really feels like eating(where possible). |
