PDP cleared the Senate and house of reps in Ekiti. I repeat, the house should concentrate on their re-election bid because it's impossible for them now to impeach Fayose.

For a start, the have less than 2 months to go.. how then can they achieve their objective knowing fully well that they are suspended. all Fayose need to do is to wait for them, as soon as they start the process, fill a motion in court that their sitting is illegal cos of the suspension, it will nothing less than 2 months for the court to decide on this alone. Then you have the other process of impeachment.

Like I said, they should stop chasing shadow and concentrate on the bigger picture.

I was even an observer in the presidential/national Assembly election that gave me opportunity to move around freely during the election. See, I don't see anybody impeaching Fayose in Ekiti. That guy is too smart. One, he is so much loved by Ekiti people, call him anything, Ekiti people will do anything to defend and protect him. Secondly, the 19 members have no locus standi to commence impeachmentt against him, it will amount to contempt of law. Thirdly, PDP will clear the HOA election of next weekend. Now, the real gist is that all the contestants of PDP were core loyalists of Fayose who were handpicked by him. He used his money to buy forms for all of them. He ensured that they are people who are not so learned and exposed. Among them are musicians, cultural dancers etc. He has made them to sign undated resignation lettter which he has kept to blackmail them in future in case they want to sell out that is after taken an oath of allegiance with him. So you see how difficult it is for them to be bought?

Fayose tells Ekiti APC lawmakers to stop acting like jesters, dismisses impeachment plot

Ekiti State Governor, Mr Ayodele Fayose has advised All Progressives Congress (APC) members in the State House of Assembly to stop acting like jesters, saying; "The script being acted by the APC is a failed one because no one, no matter how highly placed will be allowed to test the will of Ekiti people."

The governor, who described the purported impeachment notice posted online by the APC lawmakers as "joke of the century" said; "The Speaker of the Ekiti State House of Assembly is Hon Dele Olugbemi and not Dr Adewale Omirin."

In a statement issued on Saturday by the his Special Assistant on Public Communications and New Media, Lere Olayinka, Governor Fayose said; "Omirin is already in court, challenging his impeachment and common sense dictates that when you are challenging an action already taken in court, you have accepted the consequences of such action pending the determination of the suit you filed."

He said the APC lawmakers should stop advertising their ignorance and crudity in the market place by posting impeachment notice online.

"Since last year November, these so-called lawmakers abdicated their duties and ran to Lagos only for them to resurface on Wednesday, but they hurriedly ran away again.

"Now they are posting notice of impeachment signed on March 9, 2015 and Ekiti people are asking; was the motion for impeachment moved and adopted in Lagos or Osun State House of Assembly?

"Is impeachment of a governor done along Lagos-Ibadan Expressway inside a moving bus?

Fayose's elections can no longer be annulled,the ekiti elections petition tribunal has finished sitting and closed.The last court for the Governorship elections tribunal, the appeal court has upheld his elections. A normal court cannot adjudicate on this matter besides the law stipulates all elections matters must be concluded within180 days after the elections

The final court for governorship election petition is the Supreme Court,not the Court of Appeal.Get with the times

The end of arrogant Fayose is near. The lawmakers have till may 29th to kick the guy out of office following the normal procedure. With 18 of them already against him, I don't see how he can survive this plot.
