The two warships with longest trip ranges in Africa are Nigerian navy's NNS Thunder and NNS Okpabana.

South Africa's blue water navy cannot compare to Nigeria's blue water range at sea....and we shoot straight grin grin

They can't go on long trips.

Who made it a restricted zone?,the area is a public zone, the fishermen were probably frequent visitors of that area, they probably visited that area everyday to scout for fish.you cant just wake up one morning, label the area a 'restricted zone' and expect them to go hungry simply because you want to impress a bunch of german sailors with your amateur naval skills!
The SAN should have stationed patrol boats at the outer perimeter to prevent unwanted intrusion, that is how proffesional navies operate.
The navy posted a coastal warning.

All vessels were required to keep out of the area.

No navy does that rubbish.

Nigerian troops have seized the town of alagarno in southern borno from the deadly boko haram islamic terrorist sect.Alagarno is widely known as a village that was transformed into a formidable and dangerous fortress by boko haram fighters: the town boasted a sizable slice of boko haram's huge armoury, including attillery guns, tanks, armoured fighting vehicles, heavily weaponized hilux vans etc...but was overpowered by the nigerian army's highly superior firepower after being significantly softened up by ceaseless airstrikes.Boko haram's grand sheik,Abu-Bakr Shekau who was formally located in the town is now confirmed to be on the run from the nigerian military merciless onslaught.

Dude both sources are exactly the same!!! Even the wording and sentences are exactly the same!!

"then can you kindly tell us what they got in return"

Our objective was to stop communism in Southern Africa!
Is Angola a communist state?
Is Namibia a communist state?
Is South Africa communist state?

If your answer is NO to all three questions then you have your answer if the SANDF/SADF succeeded or not!

BTW we were a stone through away from Luanda, if it wasnt for the US Angola wouldve been a South African colony!
you really have wasted your schooling years!!!

South Africa's intervention in Angola, Namibia and co was to suppress anti apartheid voices.

South africa went to war to encourage apartheid rule when anti apartheid movement was getting stronger and stronger. That was the beginning of the militarization of south African streets.

Just to show you as a stupid, tactless lier not worth my effort of response, you claimed both my sources are EXACTLY the same yet the first source says botha went to Angola when your communication lines broke to give your troops moral booster.

Second source says Botha went after communication lines broke and your military high command was debating whether to use tactical nuclear with defeat starring them in the face , and botha had to decide against nuclear because south Africa was near a pariah state.

Clearly both sources are completely different.

Deployable is NOT = Self Mobile.

All ground radars in this world are deployable by carrying them from city to city by heavy duty truck or aircraft transport.

Nigeria too has many 500 km range radars fixed anjd deployable like your own.

Show me photo of SANDF 500 km radar self mobile on it's own factory install vehicle like a RASIT radar grin grin

Show proof, you have ONLY ONE Ratel until proved.

Nigeria has :

2 units RASIT.....40 km range

30 units Shilka.... 20 km range

16 units Roland.... 18 km range

Dozens of Toyota TV surveillance

We have over 70 vehicles for surveillance. You can NEVER match that number ! We rule battle space !
.
The Umlindi 3D radar has range of 500km+.

The Thutlwa 2D radar has range of 120km+.

You can't even defend a single state with your 40km radar.

Those 50 are not ground search.

What are the combined radiu's of each system? Break it down for us, show us how you came to your conclusion.

That 70364 sq km is just the Air-Ground search of our 14 Thales Squire Systems.

Do you want me to work out the combined total of our air-search systems?

Also, without a data-link and without systems fusion you cannot accuratly moniter across all systems - you cannot see the entire airspace at once.

With our data-link every single system is intergrated - a commander can see the whole airspace on one screen.

Hey dude, SANDF does NOT have data-link integrated on 100% of equipment. Gripen jet, etc ....yes....all radars and equipment...NO !

Prove it !

We don't need to climb hills to use radar, we have vehicle mounted radars that detect ground targets.

Shilka picks flat ground targets from 7 km to 20 km, and all elevated target on hills and buildings from 1km to 20 km.

Yes, a shilka will detect land enemy, it is uses as a ground combat weapon my many countries today, shilkas fire on ground target.

We will use shilka radar to detect your 14 toy radars hiding in bushes and hills and we will turn 4 barrel 23 mm cannon fire on them with devastating consequences, ALL your SANDF radars will be destroyed because they have ZERO armour and ZERO guns to defend themselves.

GAME OVER !

You do know we build radars. We built the Ratel observer so please we have as any as we need.

Like you have ZERO Mokopa in service ?

You do not have unlimited supply of equipment, Ratel engine is imported from Europe, you DO NOT build it.

Europe stopped DENEL from building any Rooivalk helicopter for a new customer by refusing to export vital components to DENEL, and the contract of sale was lost by South Africa. That led to the final closure of Rooivalk helicopter production factory FOREVER !

You build a few, you have limited capacity, you cannot build ALL YOU NEED....Europe controls South African weapons production with their supply of engines, ammunition, and electronics.
