Vicotex: which foundation? ? If Nigeria had the layed back culture of Ghanaians do you think ww would be anywhere? ? Gej did nothing to impact the economy except discourage investors. ..... Nigerians as a people are hustlers and we need good governance to make our hustle worthwhile, something GEJ never did |

tbaba1234: And no actions gave a positive value to the mathematical exercise? Correct me if am wrong, don't all african countries undertake this mathematical calculations? Why is Nigeria's own positive? I guess the answer is, because we had a clueless president for the past four years. Smh for you guys. |

nortcentrallord: My friend, rebasing an economy is not an achievement. It is something that should be done periodically according to best practises. The real facts of the Nigerian economy is that, it is in a bad state as a result of this government's recklessness. 1 Like |

chrisbaba1: Nigeria just happened to have a huge population and lucky to have a lot of oil deposits and that is what has made Nigeria what it is. Nothing to do with Nigerians working hard. Count your blessings and stop arrogantly thinking like a monkey. 1 Like |

StealthIdeals: Sometimes we overscrew judgement. By 1995, China was a third word economy, even up to 2000. This was why even Japan, who were the world's second economy did not see China passing over her head. In 1998, the then Chinese President Jang Zaming(forgive sp) saw the potential of Nigeria when he visited Gen Abacha for eonomic bilateral partnership. If the will, determination, and readyness are there, Nigeria has potential to go places. 1 Like |

walterenahoro: See this one. So you didn't know SA had the highest economy in Africa followed by Egypt and finally Nigeria. Nigeria overtook Egypt few years ago and finally SA few months ago. So you want to rewrite history and award yourselves the highest since beginning of time. Chei. Typical nigerian. I won't be surprised that yoruba you be or have a yoruba in your bloodline. Claiming other's achievement and Rewriting history na their trademark. |

tbaba1234: Read my previous comment again. Doesn't positive achievements give it positive values? Did it drop or didn't it appreciate? Yet the present govt did nothing. Smh for some of you guys. Sometimes, silence is just golden for some, they can type or do anything to make GEJ's administration look like it was just sleep he slept all through the years. |

Re: Nigeria Will Be Africa's First Global Superpower - Report by Nobody: 7:43am On Apr 05, 2015 |
We started making these bogus statements since 1960. It is what Chinua Achebe calls the "cargo mentality" of a people who sit and do nothing expecting that one day a ship laden with various commodity goods will suddenly berth on there shores and every one will have what ever they want to their heart's fill. To be too optimistic about the future is a very bad way of planning. Our leaders should rather work on those gaps that we are aware of and which if they fill most of the troubles plaguing the country will resolve. |
