SadwriTer:
'D' is the answer. 'Losing battle'. Pukka, bravo.

'Lost battle' can only serve as a joke; it is a grammatical mayhem, it doesn't exist in the lexical clusters of english.

So, 'losing/wreak' is the answer. You 'wreak' havoc, you CAN'T wreck it.

Check this out; my bosses and madams, let's see how good one is with adjectives:

I was the man standing by that ________

(A)fine big square blue antique lagos shopping mall.

(B)fine blue square big antique lagos shopping mall.

(C)big fine square antique big blue lagos shopping mall.

(D)fine big square antique blue lagos shopping mall.

I just put up the question, well I know universities are not cruel enough to bring such stretch of adjectives. But just know it for english sake.
ur option C is faulty, big is coming twice there cry

The answer is 'D' using the rules. I will give an elaborate explanation later; I'm kinda busy now; wanna warm my pot of beans... Robinz, freda, I will keep your share of the palatable meal.

Fortunate017:
Exactly what i meant. But not each courses exactly. It will depend on the departments that record high rate of success. The cut-off will be high.E.g Law last year.(Though uniben doesn't release their cut-off). But one would notice that a certain aggregate that would have given one his/her desired course wouldn't give the person. Why? Because of high success rate. Many scored higher than him/her as in many students crossed the cut-off. So to be on a safe side one has to thrive to be the "Primus inter-pares" meaning; "First among equals". Work hard. Pray well. If the rate of failure is high the case would be otherwise. But one shouldn't score below 50% aggregate.
i hear you.

Something just came across my mind again. Please let's look into this with an open mind so we can figure out the truth. MBBS is 70, we all know, following previous trends we realize that any slight mistake, some are thrown to OPT but this year no one applied for med_lab and there's a new dept known as physiotherapy in the college of medicine. Meaning the chances of students getting agric-based depts are slim. How do they fill in the quota for Med lab and physio. Maybe students with specific range of aggregates gets this and that. Someone should please throw more light on this.
.
You guys should forgive me. That's how I work.

After eating heavily yesterday, I slept off. Now, let's tackle the adjective issue.
I said the answer was 'D'__(fine big square antique blue lagos shopping mall). I explain thus:
Personally, I knew the remembrance of the respective arrangement of the stretch of adjectives could be tedious and prone to error due to positional interchange. Therefore, I had to devise a device that could always aid me and other people in using the strict rules.
Just as we have MR NIGER D for the qualities of living things; I came up with DOS SCACOMQ courtesy of the given rules.

D- determiner
O- opinion(fine)
S- size(big)

S- shape(square)
C- condition(antique)
A- age
C- colour(blue)
O- origin(lagos)
M- material
Q- qualifier(shopping)

You see, once you know how to use the rules, you the boss.
After arranging the adjectives respectively, you'd get: fine, big, square, antique, blue lagos shopping mall. Thanks!

Practise with this, it's very cheap:

I have a _________ .
(A) horrible square two-year old grey ghana coffee table.

(B)square two-year old grey horrible ghana coffee table.

(C) ghana square two-year old grey horrible coffee table.

Sir, I think the explanations I gave were crystal clear.
And if those I dropped weren't the right sequence, I wouldn't use/drop them.

Thank you.
