This is what the manufacturer says

Your source says RANGE = 20 km

My source says MAXIMUM EFFECTIVE RANGE = 35 km

The difference is that my source goes further to show maximum range, yours stopped at just range.

I posted more detailed information from a more detailed source, all these details in army recognition are not found on manufacturers website.

Your source is too scanty with skinny details, I have posted the full one below :

"On the other hand, SAAF chief Lieutenant General Carlo Gagiano saw only limited short-term opportunity for Mokopa with the land services. Most armies won't use it optimally, he noted. Land-to-land targeting at 5.5km, as with Ingwe, is already a very long range for target acquisition. You cant's see much further in the dust and glare of the battlefield. With Mokopa you go over-the-horison and then your communications and command-and-control has to be very advanced.

Wessels adds the SAAF is interested in the system for Lynx “but want us to succeed somewhere else first”, as it does not have the cash on hand to pay for the integration costs. This is in line with comments made by SAAF chief Lieutenant General Carlo Gagiano on that subject."

Yes they were white mercenaries from Zimbabwe, Portugal, and USA.

Also, 60% of South African army in battle during Angolan Bush war, were actually black men, mostly Angolan citizens.

South Africa was hiring foreign white and black men as mercenaries for the bush war, stop claiming glory by stealing as usual, the 60% glory of SADF belongs to mercenaries most of whom were black Angolans. UNITA is not SADF. But yes there where many blacks and coloured solders in the SA or SWA army and police. 32 battlion was the only unit to employ Angolans and it was 1 battalion. All so all members where SADF and got SA citizenship.

WORLD BREAKING NEWS!!! AUGUSTINE FROM NAIRALAND HAS PUBLICLY STATED THAT GERMANY'S DIEGHL AND SOUTH AFRICA'S DENEL ARE LIARS.

Billions of Euro's spent, 4000 Iris-T missiles sold to customers. Those customers, with all their technical expers have all been taken for a ride. Augustine has revealed the truth....breaking news.

Billions of Rands spent on A-Darter. Fake self defence specifications. Revealed by Augustine here on Nairaland.

Fake Combra Helmet-Iris T specifications posted by SAAB. Revealed by Augustine of Nairaland.

3 Defence companies (SAAB, Dieghl, Denel) exposed by Augustine. 1 man. Amazing!! Once those customers of 4000 Iris-T missiles read this thread, I'm sure they'll be extremely pissed off....they've been tricked sad.

But bear in mind...this man just asked

PL-9C is faster than IRIS-T, so how does a slower missile catch up in race with a faster missile ?

Listen to his basic language...."catch up in a race". Maybe he has down syndrome. Where are they racing to? I wonder. Why must Iris-T or A-Darter try catch any INCOMING missile. I wonder again.

Maybe he doesnt know that an incoming missile is heading towards the target aircraft...not the opposite direction. So now need to catch anything.

A Darter (with more than twice the agility of PL-9) and Iris-T intercept the incoming missile on a head to head flight path with their vastly superior seeker heads. 3rd generation PL-9 doomed.

But we all know Augustine....he's about to invent some new capabilities for PL-9 to miraculously make it "win". He'll probably say something like this....

"PL-9 will detect the incoming defensive missile while still tracking the target aircraft (imagionary PL-9 function). It will then wait for the right time and dodge the defensive missile like a rugby player (another imaginary PL-9function), go around while still tracking the target aircraft. Somehow after travelling a minimum of 20km, and dodging the defensive missile PL-9 will still have enough kinetic energy at full maximum power to continue tracking the target aircraft, track it down, and blow it out the sky"

Augustine Engineering 101. All from the comfort of his couch.
