Patchesagain: Radar power is just waves, it travels sideways, the waves are divergent NOT convergent. There is no way in this world that two aircraft coming from opposite directions will not meet before one can get behind or beside the other. Simple common sense you don't have, now put two stones on opposite ends of a straight line, start moving them close to each other, at a point they must meet before one goes off the straight line to the back of the other. 50 km range of F-7 radar waves are divergent, not convergent, it will see the Gripen even if you turn sideways at 50 km away. Side by side ? At 50 km away the F-7 knows the Gripen is coming ahead, if you turn to the side, he too will turn to that side, he is a combat pilot NOT a fisherman like MR.Day in South African sea waters. I am tired of talking with a man who does not know that waves diverge from a point as they emit outwards, you are a pure breed domingo . 2 Likes |

AugustineAgain: -why would the Gripen pilot fly straight towards an incoming missile for a full 9 seconds after launch detection? He's busy chatting on whatsapp, and got distracted? He would make a sharp bank away from the threat. Massive Fail - A Darter can be fired at threats directly behind Gripen. Im sure you didnt know that. Pilot has banked away from missile threat and fired A-Darter in defence. Your PL-9 cannot dodge defensive missiles. You cannot just make something up and pretend its true. Your PL-9 3rd generation IR seeker head is designed to trace the heat signature of the target aircraft, and AT BEST IGNORE other infrared heat signature it believes are decoys. Ignore, not dodge. At the very best your missile will pick up incoming A-Darter heat signature, register it as a decoy, and keep flying towards its original lock on heat signature...the Gripen. It has no ability to process the fact the A-Darter is intent on destroying it, or even dodging it at that. Your second massive fail. - Listen to this piece of sh*t made up comment. This is a very special piece of sh*t you made up. The missiles will explode "about 5 seconds" away from Gripen. With the fire ball/explosion blowing up the Gripen or killing the pilot. I know you were educated under a tree, so let me make it very basic. You say the 2 missiles will collide and explode "5 seconds away" from Gripen. Your basic lesson for the night. *Assume Gripen is stationary/not moving/stuck in the air. Stationary target 20km away from F-7 jet. *From 20km away you fire a PL-9 missile. It flies straight towards the stationary Gripen. *STATIONARY Gripen fires an A-Darter in self defense. According to you they collide and explode with just 5 seconds of the PL-9's flight time left. Meaning the PL-9 flew for 13 seconds (of the 18 seconds needed to hit the stationary Gripen) *Now. Remember I keep saying this is a stationary Gripen. It hasnt even tried to bank away and evade the PL-9 missile.. Basic question....how much further did your PL-9 missile need to travel in order to hit the Gripen? Okay...you say it travels at 4000km/h = 1111m/s In the first 13 seconds of un-interupted flight, your missile travelled 1111m/s × 13 = 14 443 meters (14.4km) Meaning...PL-9 missile was 5.6km away from hitting Gripen before A-Darter blew it up. But remember YOU said this same explosion will blow up/damage Gripen in its fireball and shrapnel....im starting to laugh already 11.8kg PL-9 WARHEAD + A-DARTER WARHEAD WILL COMBINE TO FORM A SPHERICAL EXPLOSION OF DIAMETER 11.2 kilometers!!!! HAHAHAHA!! WHAT A RE.TARD . NUCLEAR TIPPED AIR-AIR MISSILES . MILITARY RESEARCHER? WHEW You see how its obvious to everyone you just make sh*t up without thinking? DEMOLISHED |

Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by Patchesagain: 7:42pm On Apr 05, 2015 |
AugustineAgain: Gripen detects you at 120km - F-7 pilots dont even know enemy aircraft are around at that distance. Squadron breaks, half cut height and push off to the sides, half turn around and lure you into the trap. You know they dont HAVE to travel in straight lines and they dont HAVE to fly straight at you. By the time you see the half baiting the trap the other half are well outside the cone of the F-7 radar on your flanks. Gripen maneuvers are red line F-7 are black line. I kept it simple so you could understand

AGAUGU IS A LUNATIC. TLITLITLITLI…(laughing in Xhosa) HE DOES NOT KNOW DETECTION RANGE PLAY A VERY VITAL ROLE IN A DOGFIGHT. A FIGHTER WITH A BETTER DETECTION RANGE WILL HAVE ALMOST ADVANTAGE OF EVERYTHING, PLANNING, STRATEGISING, TAKING A FIRST SHOT, ETC. THE F7 HAS A POOR FCR AND CAN NEVER FIRE MISSILE AT 35KM, IT WILL HAVE TO COME AS CLOSE AS 20KM IN ORDER TO TAKE OUT THE TARGET. IT WILL NOT HELP TO ARM F7 WITH BVR OR EVEN 35 KM AAM OTHER THAN THAT OF PAKISTAN WHICH HAS FCR OF 35KM RANGE. THE AIRFORCE CHIEFS OF NAF ARE AS DULL AS AGAUGUST WHEN IT COMES TO THINKING. |

Patchesagain: I have lectured you so much, but your moronic head still thinks radar is like FLIR foward looking infra red. Radar is not light beams, it is waves that blow out and expand from emission source. No matter how you turn aside, the F-7 is facing the Gripen, your sideways turn still enters the divergent waves coverage of the F-7 Grifo radar and at 50 km away the F-7 detects the Gripen. I have shown you scientific sources of the known radar detection in combat, front hemisphere, lower hemisphere, upper hemisphere, rear hemisphere. The ranges are specified, Dis you see anything like range for side hemisphere ? Fool ! "The forward-facing NIIP N011M Bars (Panther) is a powerful integrated passive electronically scanned array radar. The N011M can function in air-to-air and air-to-land/sea mode simultaneously while being tied into a high-precision laser-inertial or GPS navigation system. It is equipped with a modern digital weapons control system as well as anti-jamming features. N011M has a 400 km search range and a maximum 200 km tracking range, and 60 km in the rear hemisphere. The radar can detect ground targets such as tanks at 40–50 km. The Bars radar will be replaced by Zhuk-AESA in all Su-30MKI aircraft." No matter how you turn aside, the F-7 is facing the Gripen, your sideways turn still enters the divergent waves coverage of the F-7 Grifo radar and at 50 km away the F-7 detects the Gripen. Stop adding the non-existent side hemisphere as radar has become an FLIR. You live in a psycho world of imaginary day dreams different from how air combat and jets operate Abeg am done with this foolish argument. I sh.ot down your Gripen, you were b.uried, you want to open coffin and come out, abeg go back to your g.rave, stop wasting my time . 2 Likes 1 Share |

AugustineAgain: FIAR Grifo-7 mk.II radar is the weakest avionics in the world. What I like the most is that Nigerian pilots are right and stable upstairs and will not even waste their precious time to listen to your illusion about your phantom victory of F7 over gripen. They are not going to think for a second to challenge gripens with the "FLYING COFFINS" never will they do that. |

jln115:I'm done doing petty arguments with you folks. Hence forth I shall be giving the audience piece by piece excerpts of that war. How south Africa is officially a lying country with no truth whatsoever. And you SA folks here are just as pathetic as your lying disgraced army. Enjoy the read: 29 February 1988 Fifth Attack Again when the SA attacked the Angolans suffered some losses, as every time exaggerated to 800 dead and 7 tanks destroyed. And as ever the enemy attack was rejected, but this time for the first time, the radio stations intercepted an official military SA report that admitted 20 dead and 59 wounded only in the battle of the day. It was now evident and infamous how the Apartheid regime informed only the more rich and prestigious families about the dead of their sons. Many South African parents, that had not many links with the dictatorship, received no information and in some case also threats, imposing silence. The 17 March, Ernesto Chavez on his MiG-23 is shot down and killed by a South African anti-aircraft weapon, a Ystervark of 20mm. It was the only victory of the South African anti-aircraft defence. The 19 March during a lone Recce mission the Mirage of Willie Van Coppenhagen crashed and the pilot was killed. The enemy didn’t know the cause and supposed an accident, but at real it was shot down by Angolans. |

jln115:you are strange my boy, very strange. HERE IS A MUST-READ FOR ALL PARTICIPANT. 23 March 1988 Sixth Attack The last enemy attack, a disaster known between the South African as the Disaster of Tumpo Again the UNITA assaults were only a carnage, while also the SA attack was very inefficient. Their propaganda claimed only one tank destroyed, while admitted that 2 tanks were almost destroyed and other 3 officially lost, because captured intact by our forces. The capturing of intact Oliphant tanks was an interesting things, but the Cuban officers noted that despite some high technology, they were to slow and clumsy to be successful in the Cuito’s ground. However at least 1 tank was moved to the Soviet Union to be studied. -------------------------------- The outcome of the battle was considered one of the main point of the War. Despite their efforts the enemy didn’t occupied the city, and even if later they claimed that it wasn’t their intentions, the failure of the repeated attacks was an incredible results. The so-called superior western technology proved to be ineffective against the fighting spirit of the fighters. Thermal Viewers and advanced systems of an heavy and almost immersed in the mud vehicle against brave African warriors that attacked them with everything they had. The use of the Air Force stopped every successful action of the enemy, while the use of anti-aircraft weapons, that could fire an incredible amount of bullets in some seconds killed dozens of enemy at the time. With this failure, and without the support of the United States, the South African regime had to grant everything. Their retreat from Angola and also from Namibia, and the end of their help to the terrorist counter-revolutionaries of the UNITA. Their defeat was accompanied by rallies of ANC and other groups, as the South African Communist Party. Coloured and white people together to defeat the Racist regime. A cruel regime, very linked with Israel, that murdered thousands of people during the years of power. At Cuito 900 Africans were killed, among Angolans, Namibian and South African freedom fighters, and the Cubans lost 39 men. There was the material lost of 6 tanks and 4 MiG. Probably also some half-buried tanks manned by the Angolans and used as artillery were destroyed, but surely not 24 as the South African claim, that was probably a biggest number then the real total number. Obviously they claim 4785 Cuban and African human losses, but that’s quiet interesting, how they claim a so defined number.. 4785, not 4800 or 4600. Expressing a precise number without an ending 0 number is a typical use to make seem a fantasy claim as something of serious and scientific. A propaganda tactic used also by other countries in the past. The UNITA losses were terrible. More then 6000 bandits were killed during the crazy human wave assaults. The SA racists used them as cannon fodder, without mercy and without caring of their allied. At first the South Africans admitted only 31 dead, together 3000 admitted UNITA losses, and interesting to know it was the biggest number of admitted casualties during a battle. But then they increased the count, adding other 12 soldiers of the SWATF, South African of the Occupation force in Namibia, reaching so the number of 43 killed. A recent South African Government research, searched and counted all the families that had sons in the army, and never saw again their boys. Disappeared, missed.. Victim of their own regime, that covered the truth at people. According to this research 715 South African were killed or disappeared around Cuito during the period of the battle. About the material losses the enemy admitted 3 tanks, the ones captured during the last attack, and 11 armoured vehicles as lost. That count don’t considered the hit, damaged or destroyed vehicles that the South African army succeeded to tow away from the front line. They claimed to have repaired part of them, but at real many of them weren’t repairable and were used as spare parts or simply destroyed. Their losses were of 24 tanks and 21 armoured vehicles, including the admitted ones. They lost 7 aircrafts plus 7 other little Recce drones without pilots. Also the artillery suffered great losses, some of them during the retreat were hit by the MiG-23 raids, other were abandoned on the battle field. Overall they lost 24 G-5 guns and 6 G-6 guns |

@jln115 I'm not happy when you don't quote me, when you turn silent and break the flow of spontaneous response. Take some more excerpts. Don't forget to share the good news with your fellow compatriots. --------------------------------- 4 May First Ambush The first operation started when a group formed by 60 Cubans and 21 Angolans attacked the Second Company of the 101 Battalion of the SWATF. Cuban sources claim that the Angolans were all members of the Special Forces and that actually Namibians (and not Angolans) took part at the ambush with their experienced members of the explorative battalion “Tiger”. The enemy suffered a total surprise and escaped under the fire with poor resistance, after losing 30 dead and one soldier captured, 5 Casspir vehicles were destroyed and 1 captured intact. The remains of the column were again hit and destroyed by a MiG-23 that exterminated them on the way for Lubango. Obviously the enemy propaganda admitted only 7 dead, claiming to have killed half hundred Cubans. It was also a Political move, to claim the only Cuban presence during this offensive |
