Guys abeg, playing video games of any type: mobile, PC, or console, does it any way make you smart or it just depletes your level of smartness, that is, does it make one dull?

bruh.... I never went to a driving school, no one taught me to drive either.... video games like Need for speed taught me to drive.... now let me ask you..... Did I get smarter or duller? When you play games like NFS most wanted and make use of ur nitro to the point where you can barely see whats ahead and have to make decisions on which roads to go through within micro seconds and on break-neck speed, that alone increases your reflexes and decision making sharper and faster.... Did you also know that in some parts of the world, driving lessons are no longer taken in real cars but in driving simulators which are video games? Also, a friend of mine took his flight test in the UK in a flight simulator which is also a video game.....bruh.... It makes you smarter but dont think you'll crash your car at high speed and it will just blink and become brand new again.... If you believe that, YOU ARE ON YOUR OWN...

In foreign countries, they hold game tournaments events... Some of this events are like World Cup.. Gamers socialise with each other...

Even in Nigeria, friends can play PES or Fifa tournament...

Back then at the university, we do play halo "combat evolved' multiplayer via WAN in class everyday from 4pm to 6pm. Even girls joined us, it united the 4 levels in mydept. 100 level guys teaming up with the finalists... We played with much enthusiasm and it was fun. It makes one smarter jor.
For me, i enjoy open world and horror games the more.
GTA series
Just Cause
Watchdogs
Far Cry Series
Saints row Series
And of course Resident Evil Series..

I have an idea of how planes work because I enjoyed playing 'virtual flight '

Opinion: video games are both blessing and curse wrapped up like a pie. it's fun, but gradually withdraws the player from people around him/her. Proper social skills become deficient. We've heard many instances where children cease coming to the dining room to have a meal with the family, difficulty in having an ' actual ' conversation with ' real ' people, become so angry when NEPA cuts supply of electricity, bullying of siblings when game console is ceased and the list goes on. And to some extent, i use to have some of these traits before i desensitized myself from playing video games. do they make one dull or smarter? definitely dull. i smart sha

Yes, and video games don't have addictive tendencies ? I agree with some of your points though. Brain training, some researchers are on the other end as well.
