There is only ONE serious contender for governor of Delta state and that's Dr Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa, he is the only candidate that enjoys state-wide acceptance and support.Ogboru used to be an ethnic (Urhobo)candidate in previous elections, but now Okowa is well loved among the Urhobos, not forgetting the little matter of O'tega Emerhor r who though is the weakest of the three is equally running as an ethnic (Urhobo) candidate, so the Urhobo votes will be split between the three of them, while Okowa will smile home with over 98% of the Ijaw, Itsekiri, Ndokwa, Ika, Aniocha and Oshimili votes.Okowa will win with a wide margin

The issue here is very simple and needs no ranting or rambling upon. Ogboru is supposed to win "theoretically" based upon his precedent as an unacknowledged gubernatorial election winner for more than 12 years and counting. However, he has an unlucky and ill-thought knack towards insignificant political parties. He relies on grass root politics when he knows that in Delta State, the grass root voters have little or no say in elections. He refuses to romance the political elites and wring their sympathies towards his favour. That said, it is also important to know that Urhobos, though have the majority of Delta State votes, cannot deliver Ogboru as governor. Moreso with the dilemma of Emerhor who is also aspiring under the platform of APC. The Aniomas and Ijaws effectively constitute half of Delta State's votes while the Urhobos and Isokos constitute the other half. The first half is strong and have a consensus candidate in the person of Okowa whereas the second half is torn and divided between two candidates in the persons of Ogboru and Emerhor. This is a political anomaly for the Urhobos. Sadly and realistically speaking, OKOWA MAY LIKELY WIN THE ELECTION. Fortunately for all of us, Okowa may likely not go beyond a single tenure because other parties, especially APC, will strategise and employ national strength to wring PDP into the opposition in Delta State Politics. Fortunately again, in the next four years, Okowa will have to be as impersonal, non-tribalistic and as hardworking as he can because the game of politics has grown more matured in Nigeria as a whole.

I doubt if Otega will win. Someone that couldn't win 2013 Delta state Senatorial by-election (Delta Central).
Ifeanyi Okowa stands a better chance of winning considering that delta is a strong PDP state.
I'll rank them in this order: Okowa, Ogboru then Otega. My opinion though..
