The APGA leader argued that Yorubas do not get the same opportunity in the South East because Lagos is a “colonial settlement.” Just like River state and Cross River state are colonial settlements huh? Give a platform to an untutored urchin, and what you get is an ahistorical assessment. 20 Likes |

Colonial settlement? Is the East Igboland? Didn't Igbos migrate there too? When you give a dog a bone, it barks. Yorubas, una dey listen? Think of Ilorin/Kwara. After showing them hospitality, now they have the auacity to tell you that your land is not yours. My sympathy out of the window. Yorubas, any method of regaining Lagos is up to you. From now on, I turn my face to the other side. 23 Likes |

To be honest with u guys am not in support of the threat by Oba Akiolu..but for Ibos to win a whole 3 federal house of representative seats in Yoruba land is not acceptable. It can never happen any where in Nigeria. In fact PDP should be ashamed of selling Lagosians right to ibos. Am very very angry too 18 Likes |

APGA, should concentrate on reforming and making itself a formidable political party to promote the igbo agenda rather than been used as a pawn on political chess board. These same people once said that they could trace their root to Israel and migrated from the present Israel to Nigeria. It won't come as a surprise if they decide to claim Tel-Aviv and Jerusalem are their land. 3 Likes |

This is the most irresponsible statement I have read so far. Though I acknowledge the right of every citizen to live freely in any part of the country, calling Lagos or any other place a "colonial" settlement is callous. 13 Likes |

We will revisit this issue at the appropriate time. We will know who actually owns the land I am very sure of one thing tat I will start from my immediate constituency which are my Ibo tenants and employees. I am in contact with the people that will define Lagos owner when the time comes and the time is now. 9 Likes |

Trouble sleep, yanga go wake am. The real owners of Lagos will surely handle these errant Igbos whose greed can best be likened to a fly in a beer parlour. By the time Lagosians start tightening the net on Igbos, there wont be any APGA to make noise. Shebi Fashola deported some of them and nothing happened. Ambode will not even need to deport, we will use option A4. Alaba market la ti ma bere. 11 Likes |

Anyway, let's forget all these banter, before it turns to something else. Lagos is part of yorubaland, and part of Nigeria. It's not 'no man's land' even as it is cosmopolitan in nature. That said, we cannot removed the fact that Federal Government, and Non-indigenes, working with the native (Aworis) made Lagos what it is today! However, Igbo do not own anyone gratitude for living in Lagos or any part of Nigeria; it is the fruit of labour of fathers who fought and shed blood that we be one. The more Yorubas think that Igbos own them gratitude for living in Lagos, the more the we remind them that Awolowo, Obasanjo and co were among those who fought that Igbo should remain in Nigeria. If Yorubas or any other ethnic group for that matter feels threatened by the way of life of Igbos, they could ask for referendum to secede from Nigeria. We do not owe anyone apologies for living according to the constitution of Nigeria; if there are law breakers let them face the law as Nigerians, not as Igbos! And if anyone calls Lagos a "No man's land", Yorubas shouldn't get worked up unnecessarily because these are everyday banter among normal people. 13 Likes |

The problem with this is, even if Jimi wins, there will be unrest. Yorubas will start recalculating......and you know Yorubas in politics is like a green snake in a green grass. Yorubas will think they've lost lagos. And a bitter Yoruba man is a calculating Yoruba man. PDP already divided Lagos. Shame on PDP. Shame on Jimi Ajagbe. And if the Oba systematically planned this, shame on him. Yorubas have never known to be at war........but Yorubas did not conquer lands by just folding their hands and looking. #Oyoempire APC president.....PDP Lagos.....who will feel the burn if not business owners? 10 Likes 1 Share |

I think ibos have bitten more than they can chew I would advise them to be more rational. If two elephants are fighting it is the grasses that suffer at the end.the Apga in lagos should please tell me which part of Nigeria was not a collonial settlement?Ignorance of the highest order on the part of the Ibo leaders and their fellow people.Pdp will only drag ibos in lagos into situation whereby lagosians will take drastic measures against them and at the end they will start regretting their actions and utterances.Imaging Agbaje loosing, what do u think lagosians would feel about them?I knw after the election they will blame themselves again.Ibos like to learn the hard way. 6 Likes |
