Children Who Survived Boko Haram Attacks Express Their Sad Experience Through Drawing

Some children who survived Boko Haram attacks in some troubled areas of Nigeria have been pictured putting their experience into drawing with pencils and crayons.

The children were among the lucky few that escaped death after the Boko Haram insurgents attacked their communities.

The several traumatic killings they experienced during the numerous attacks by the Islamist extremists were expressed through art.

They are currently at a refugee camp run by UNICEF very close to Baga Sola in Chad.

Even in a sad situation we always find humour. Clown....you know you made me laugh.

May God help this kids. I just can't imagine the trauma. Sob.

This is part of the rehab process. I'm sure this was the intention of those that supplied the pens and paper.

You cannot move on until you confront the past, and learn (or be taught) to deal with that confrontation.


Religion is doing all it can to prove its wackiness but God, of whatever flavor, bless these kids.

These kids will have so many stories to tell when they grow older. Bokoharam has increased their fears of living and they now know what it takes to be part of the living.
These kids need to be taken away from that environment because whenever they see those places, the horrors of the past will continue to hunt them.

In life, we all past through different struggles. Look at these kids and tell yourself you're still lucky.
