Fighting for diversity in the graphic novel world is tough work. Roye Okupe, artist and comic book aficionado, is learning that firsthand. http://mashable.com/2015/04/07/nigerian-superhero/

I hate super hero novels it is totally unrealistic and gibberish.lt might be fun to watch or read but in the end you gain nothing intellectually. This is not to dampen the young man's dream or ambition it is just a personal opinion 2 Likes |

*looks into òpòn ifà* If u wanna go places, u had berra komot dat 'OKUPE' from thy name coz' change has cometh to take over. On a vital note, let ur story line depict the typical Africa way of life. And u can even portray our bad politicians as antagonist. *raises head from òpòn ifà* |

I don't know if his product really appeals to the Nigerian market but I find his story inspiring. The fact that he was rejected by everyone but still kept on doggedly pursuing his dream is worthy of emulation. In fact he took the rejection as a tonic to fuel his desire while using the criticisms wisely. It just shows that good things usually don't come easily. One has to persevere and keep at it. I really rich him luck with this endeavor. |

This is really fantastic, the art is on par with some of the best graphic novels I've read and I'm really excited to see this story. The idea of Nigerian superheroes is something I've always wanted to see. Here is a trailer that was fantastic https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P7JTTCLmSp4 |
