Am surprised at the author's claim of Ilorin being dominated by Yorubas. Its simply erroneous, though a superficial look at Ilorin may give the impression that its all Yoruba - hence, the Yoruba insistence that it be assimilated into its larger fold, but infact Ilorin is bigger than Yorubas !

What contradiction? ok... At one point, the author claim that there was an attempt by Yoruba chiefs to dethrone the Fulani, but after succeeding, they enthrone another fulani. Isn't that a contradiction, that story isn't even true. Not at all.
I mentioned it elsewhere that, a superficial look at Ilorin appears to the eye as a Yoruba enclave, but in fact, Ilorin is bigger than that.
