Hello I have a serious question, my aunty in france arrange with a man to get a visa for my mom from France, it was rejected , don't know how and why it was rejected, don't have ties with the man or agent that applied for her, issue is she told me she Had to put down her fingerprints which is scary for me as I want to invite her over to belgium where I live, I recently bought a land in Nigeria and used her name on the documents, but I am scared to apply for her as I am scared that it might be refused , I send her money monthly and have proof , I send her rents and even when I bought the land I sent the money to her account so her statement shows there are transaction but do you think the deny won't be a problem ?
you need to know first why she has been refused visa from french embassy. And work on the reason. if the reason is strong enough, it might have effect on her future application for schengen visa.

Like someone has rightly said above, You need to find out the cause of rejection first.

This won't be difficult to know because she must have been given a paper to sign after denial and reasons for denial will all be listed and marked on the paper.

So ask her for it.

I recently got admitted into UJF Grenoble France for a 1 year MSc program. Now the problem is, I dont know where to start the visa application process from, what documents that I'd need and the processes involved in getting a visa (account statement, etc). And from going through this thread, it seems its quite difficult to get a France Student visa, unlike Germany, where I also gained admission and where I am also quite farmiiar with their visa application process.

Please help..thanks

@NaGodwin Have you ever travel before either to any European countries or African Countries? France base their Visa Application on traveling experience so if you have not you need to work on that.Meanwhile, they wil neva indicate it in your refusal letter.Best of Luck

Good evening house. Please I have a question. I am quite naive in this visa application thing. I am applying for a france visa, I saw the application form, filled it and clicked on submit but nothing came up. I clicked several times and there was no prompt to show it was submitted.

Please am I doing the right thing or am I supposed to download the form, hand fill and submit? Kindly pardon my ignorance. I have searched and searched but yet to get answers. Thanks a lot.

The visa section of the French embassy had technical issue with their system for almost 3 weeks. They just resolved this issue. The visa application center won't tell you this. I called this French embassy myself to know this.

You can call them on 014628484.

When you call, it first put you through answering machine, press 2 for English, then press 1; then ask to be linked with the visa section.

You probably had issue with the internet network

You have to fill and submit the application form online. After submission, the system confirms that your application has been successfully submitted. It will then prompt you to save/print the PDF version of the confirmation, which you will print out and sign. You are to submit this signed confirmation page which has a barcode along with your other documents at the visa application center

Sorry guys, I have been busy with the planning of my trip and couldn't check my email and NL account. I am in France right now and I'd like to share some of the cool images that I took with my phone.

Does anyone know any cool places in France/Europe to tour?

Once again, I'm sorry for sharing the information late. This is my first time of applying for a Schengen visa.

I am a Nigerian studying IT program at an Asian University. All I did was: -

1.) Registered and paid for a conference (The conference is about IT and latest technologies in France)
2.) Requested that the organizer send me an invitation and a copy to the French embassy
3.) Collected letter from my school showing that they are aware of my travel plans
4.) Booked an insurance online for 35 EURO
5.) Booked for hotel reservation and airline (All online and free). Only a credit card is required to guarantee a hotel but nothing is charged
6.) Printed my bank statement via online bank portal (I generated 3 months record from my account online and printed it out)

I submitted all these documents to the French embassy and was told to come back after two weeks.

After the 10th day of submission, I received a call from the French consulate asking me to explain the purpose of my trip to France. I explained everything to him including my future plans (I told him the truth) and at the end of the conversation, he said he will send all the information to France for review. He also told me that he can not guarantee that the visa will be issued but I should come on the given date.

Four days later, I went to the embassy and was given my passport. I opened it and viola, I saw a Schengen visa on it. Was impressed because the whole process is so easy and I did almost everything online.
