Nigerian troops marches against sambisa forest, launches terrible final onslaught on the forest as military campaign draws to an end! . http://thesparkng.com/2015/04/nigerian-troops-final-onslaught-boko-haram-sambisa/ . The communities of Yamteke and Bita were also liberated, while many boko haram camps in Sambisa forest were furiously pounded by military aircrafts. Also,Nigerian elites troops may have invaded cameroon in pursuit of run-away boko haram top commanders,as boko haram increases presence in cameroon.suspected boko haram fighters may have filtered into sudan,as west and cenral african nations seek battle plan against the migration of boko haram. 2 Likes 1 Share |

GreenandGold:you mean your mechanics and delivery boys. South Africa hasn't even begin defining its role in Africa. She is just as pretentious as she is confused. Well Angola is the darling in the south and south Africa is a military confusion. All your fake war involvements are soaked in the depths of controversy and you cannot even begin to stand in the level of Nigeria, Egypt, Algeria and Ethiopia. You are just wannabes, an ignorant fraud who cannot see herself as she really is, as the world sees her. Stupidity redefined!!! 1 Like 1 Share |

By the way the wife of the dead SA mercenary already confessed that her husband was never a mechanic but a fighter who fought for defenceless at a cost. That's how he was making a living. 1 Like |

patches689: It is because I know a lot about mobility, that's why I said the SANDF has a primitive doctrine. No country except a completely naïve one develops a doctrine based on single variant or type of vehicle. Not even the Americans have a single variant of APC or type. The SANDF has shown it self to be a primarily incompetent fighting force lacking in skill, concept and ethos to effectively prosecute missions. 3 Likes 2 Shares |

patches689: Your single camo simplifies all that is inefficient with the SANDF. Your single camo proves the SANDF can only deploy forces in your terrain. You would stand out like guinea pigs in the swampy wet lands of the Niger-Delta, in the desert region of the N.E and rainforest of the SOuth-west and South-east. A colossal bloodbath waiting to happen. The Americans do not use one Camo type in multiple terrains. The Americans have multiple camos from woodland, desert to winter. Same as the british. 2 Likes 1 Share |

patches689: You only have 3. I've posted this evidence multiple times. Let me assure you, if you have above 3 functional C-130's, the SANDF wouldn't have to depend so much on leasing Transport planes. The SANDF is an inherently corrupt, under-resourced, under-effective force. 2 Likes 1 Share |

Even India and Brazil, both of which are one of the world's most sophisticated military, are having problems with uniform distribution of camo and other military gears/outfit. What we must understand is that, the bigger the military, the costlier and harder it is to circulate a singular type of infantry outfit. Moreover, the outfits does not directly affect the skill or performance of a military force, while it makes a military look more professional,it hardly makes any difference in combat situations{except for identification, which can sometimes be sabotaged}. Also, terrain must be considered,Nigeria has 4 different types of terrain, which justifies the diversity in camo.surely you dont expect to wear the vivid green{stained with earth brown} coloured camo of the SE tropical rainforest in a battle taking place in the NE desert region, and come out alive? Nigeria has a 130,000 military manpower{or even more, due to the emergence islamic terror threat},therefore,it wont be an easy task to have a uniform infantry. 1 Like |

lezz: Does it change the fact that you are mentally incapacitated to address the questions there in? Bros, address the questions you bloody coward, name calling will not save you this time, I AM BACK FOR YOU!! (thank God for elections),In case your brain could not sieve out the questions, I will help your dumb soul The questions are; 1)can you prove to this honorable house that ECOWAS blacklisted Ivory coast in 2011? Let me remind you that you claim to know too much as such, to get the evidence won't be a problem, please do not tactically maneuver out of this for any reason whatsoever, it is either you are proving or you are shutting up completely. I will neither read nor respond to any other gibberish that doesn't have the proof i asked for. 2) Prove that Ghaddafi predicted Nigeria's disintegration because Nigeria and other countries rejected the United States of Africa, any strenuous analogies and unverifiable claims will NOT be read., 3) can you in clear conscience assume that Nigeria is a lord over Saudi Arabia because our doctors took refuge there?? 4) Who was the first chairperson of the AU? one single answer of a name and probably date, any other strenuous crap will not be read. 5) Do you agree that Nigeria was threatened by France before we agreed to hand over Bakassi? 6) Prove that France is uncomfortable with Nigeria hegemony in Africa, and what are those Hegemonies? 7) Prove that the African Union is more organised than the Arab league. Compare the Nigerian first Ebola case with the United states first Ebola case. Remember that name calling is just an attitude, answers to questions shows your intelligence, all the questions up there were all your claims hence we implore you to do justice to them, dont let your brain down this time. |

jln115: They are not all SF forces, and they do not have a single camo like the inefficient SANDF. Every SF/SOF conducts land and sea trainings. Everyone of those listed SF/S0F teams, it is nothing unheard of. I didn't mention the british SBS, I only mentioned SAS. jln115: No, all "SANDF" forces are issued a single camo. Your S.F wear green. Your MRS is simply a boarding team, even small nations like togo , Seychelles and mauritius all have boarding teams. Nothing fantastic about them. |
Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by Patchesagain: 11:04am On Apr 09, 2015 |
Henry120: First, their classification is irrelevant. But MARSOC is 100% SF - they are trained to conduct irregular warfare leading small groups of insurgents. By definition they are SF - you could also argue they have SOF elements to their role. But whatever. Fact is that MRS is not SF and that the MRS only conducts maritime or riverine operations - thus they will never be anywhere near a desert. |

EVarn: Which of the Ivory coast did AU blacklist? name calling is an attitude, I attack your mental capacity with facts, can you show us evidence that AU blacklisted Ivory coast? Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by Patchesagain: 11:08am On Apr 09, 2015 |
Henry120: If you knew anything about mobility you would know that it is based on 2 things: 1. Wheels 2. Logistics. Operating a standardized vehical means that you you have both. It is physically impossible for your army to conduct high mobility operations in conventional warfare - your logistics are nowhere, your vehicals dont suit another. And most importantly - NIGERIA HAS NO IDENTIFYABLE DOCTRINE The Americans have accepted this with the introduction of the Stryker as their standard wheeled IFV for mobility operations. They retain tracked IFV's such as the Brad for conventional fighting in environments where mobility is impossible. 35 victorious conventional battles in Angola and performance in CAR, Lesotho and DRC show that we are at a level you could only dream of. |

Henry120: American Army has one cammo type - UCP Ameircna Marines have one cammo type - MARPAT Canada has one cammo type - CAPDAT UK has one cammo type - MTP France has one cammo - FELIN Your argument has been destroyed by simple facts. Modern professional armies are all switching to one multi-use cammo pattern. The only time you need special cammo is if you are planning on fighting in Snow. 1 Like |

Henry120: Outdated information not based on facts. SAAF has 5 operational. The South African Air Force is operating five of its nine Lockheed Martin C-130 Hercules transport aircraft, as the others are either being serviced or are awaiting inspections. http://www.defenceweb.co.za/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=30177:five-of-nine-saaf-hercules-serviceable&catid=111:sa-defence This is the umpteenth time i have posted this - stop pretending you havent seen this before.
