If u're used 2 d ways d real indigine of Lagos say their prayers, d Oba statement is not provocative or insultive. If u've witnessed d Eyo festival, when d Eyo is praying 4 u, it makes reference 2 d Osa i.e Lagoon 2 carry evil and misfortune 4rm some1, so their believe is dat d lagoon serves as a shield against bad omen. If dat is not enough, what about d statement made by d out going 1st lady 2 APC dat people should stone any1 shouting change. D igbo should be wise in their judgement about d statement those misinterpreting or misleading them do not mean well 4 them, they are trying 2 distroy d peaceful co-existence we've enjoyed over d years. So beware and dont pass insultive statement on d throne of lagos nobody can do same in ur states 2 ur traditional rulers. God bless Lagos and Nigeria as a whole. Eko o ni ba je, o baje ti ! 2 Likes |

But in a country, how can some Yoruba be talking that Lagos is purely Yorubaland? Can they say exactly who lived in Lagos and other parts of the SW about 2000 years ago? Can they say for sure that 2000 years from now, today's SW shall be inhabited by Yoruba people? Today's problem is that too many Yoruba are no more going to school. Yoruba still live in the past of Obafemi Awo's free education when too many Yoruba's went to school more than the rest of Nigeria. If Yoruba want Lagos as purely for Yoruba for now, it is easy. Declare Oduduwa Republic. Arewa can't fight against that. Neither can Igbo or Ijaw or Bini or Tiv fight against that. In fact, if Yoruba declares Oduduwa Republic now, that creates an immediate realization of new Biafra, and most possibly, other Niger Delta countries. 3 Likes |

Skoopy: You need to get a lawyer to prove that in court. No logos, no party signage or references whatsoever and most of all the APC has disclaimed it and rendered Akiolu persona-non-grata so its hard to prove. You might as well be wearing a Karl Marx, Che Gueverra, Fidel Castro, Malcolm X or John F Kennedy's thoughts on your shoulders. 1 Like |

Please can we stop all this, politicians are moving from other parties to the apc cos they won at the centre, the parties that people were abusing themselves for before march 28, what if agabje wins and he finally decamps to the apc to align himself to the so called centre, what will now be the gains of all the fighting, the same politicians screaming jonathan before mar 28 are now screaming buhari, can't we see that these politicians keep playing chess with Nigerians? Let's be wise and move on from all these. The Politicians are not foes as we think, its only a game. 2 Likes |
