{Excerpts from a political analyst replying JK on his speech where he was comparing himself with awolowo and mandela}

Jk you can’t compare yourself to Awolowo or Mandela, they were lawyers so they knew one or two things about government and law, chief Jakande was a journalist and was already an astute politician and a welk respected publiher, so he knew how politics worked. You haven’t held any political office whatsoever and that could work as an advantage in any other states BUT not in lagos.

Lagos is very delicate and complicated. So you would need to rely and lean on bode George and obanikoro, this is a big problem. In the business angle, you have NEVER grown any business or industry. So even within the angle you could have used to your advantage, you still come out as zero. You see, you are lucky Nigerians celebrate mediocrity sometimes and they would use sentiments to make important decisions instead of their brains. You shouldn’t even be running at all. If mike Adenuga or Dangote or the chief Stan Ekeh runs, we would understand. I am not biased, any ethnicity can rule lagos our budget and planning commissioner is an igbo man. But these businessmen I mentioned At least have all proven themselves in the big business arena.

Lagos is a mighty complex corporation and it needs an experienced and tested person. We have come too far to go back to wuru wuru, Omo Ita administrations. Gain some more experience and come back in eight years. Another very important thing that stands out glaringly is that you knew you wanted to run this year and you didn’t even bother to go and improve yourself and your credentials.

Ambode took this very seriously, he quit his job, which by itself is rare in Naija and went into private practice so he can gain experience in public and private. Ambode took time off to go to school in Boston to augment and prepare himself by adding public administration fellowship to his already solid credentials.

Jk you seem to think that money and pdp will get you through, you took advantage of us. Lagos is serious business. We demand more and better leaders for lagos. Lagos is not a drive through burger joint. It is the 3rd largest economy in Africa. You just are not ready. And PLEASE YOU ARE NO MANDELA nor are you CHIEF AWOLOWO. We want proven credentials. Sorry:

Whilst I’m not crazy about Ambode, at least he’s bringing experience to the table and most of he’s ideas are informed by that.

Your boldest idea, that you keep repeating, seems to be building an ocean economy. Whenever I hear you speak about it, it’s obvious you think it’s cool but even you know that it means nothing and will not translate to anything for the masses.
Just like with the presidential elections, this is a choice between two bad options. Jimi Agbaje, an articulate, exposed man who has no experience, no significant career accomplishments , no “bold ideas” and is so desperate for power he rigged his party primaries and Ambode, a man who has the eloquence of a bus conductor and seems more like a court jester than a king but has worked in government almost all his adult life and at least has a better understanding of governance.

This is not the time for Lagosians to give into rhetoric. Lagos needs significant economic growth in the next 4years and Jimi, Bode Gorge and the PDP clan are not the ones who will deliver that.

Your points are irrelevant if Ambode can't prove he didn't steal 20 billion. If Tinubu can declare his assets.

Until then, my vote belongs to Jimi Agbaje!

You better be literate enough to vote for Lagos development under central government of APC rather than playing politics of bitterness against Tinubu. Why do you want to align with Bode George and his propaganda?, ask yourself, if you wrote an application, wont you demand for yearly consultancy fee? why the noise Tinubu is collecting this percentage or that?, why all other states in Nigeria are using same Tinubu blue print on tax collection?. This is the best opportunity to assess APC to deliver our demands in Lagos without usual and obvious excuses. Have it in mind any government of the day, Tinubu personally will always find his level without been accountable to anybody.

He who asserts must prove. You prove that he stole the money. Until then you know what to do....vote Ambode.
