.Firstly,you will enjoy the electricity in the hostels than you will at home,it's quite stable and you will be overwhelmed by it,there are 4 sockets in each room,I will advise you get an extension box when coming to make things easy,then if you cook with hotplates,get a good one unless you don't mind buying kerosene frequently for stove use,having both stove and hotplate is OK,...
If you get a lower bunk and your bedspace is either of the numbers 1,2,3 or 4,you don't need to buy a cupboard coz the large part of each of 4 cupboards per room is for those occupants,then the upper bunkie of the numbers go get d small upper space and may need a cupboard including others remaining too but resume first and know how far before you get any cupboard,carpenters will be there to sell to you.
Then you might have been thinking of how to get your loads to your various hostels,worry not,fellowships on campus will help carry you and your load from school gate to the hostels.
For sports,there is a field. behind Africa(a canteen) and also between block B and C,there is mini- field where you can play monkey post,a table tennis is also in Angola and an inter block football competition will later hold in ur 2nd semester, for football matches, you have a common room where you watch for free and play station too Is available and lastly reading rooms are present near Africa....

Phew....this is where am stopping.....

Yes,but on fridays you can wear anything you want...concerning the WiFi ,it's free in all hostels for oau eportal alone,you can get intecu for as low as #100 to download whatever and browse for abt 3 hrs or so,WiFi is best at Social Sciences,Senate building,Law,White House,Awolowo Hall e.t.c
