Oba Of Lagos Meets With Igbo Leaders, Settles Misunderstanding by Emirofsambisa1: 1:09pm On Apr 10, 2015 |
Following the controversial statement by the Oba of Lagos, Oba Rilwan Akiolu, that generated so much fuss in the last few days, the Oba has met with the leaders of Ohaneze Ndigbo group led by Chief Ralph Obioha, chairman of the Caretaker Committee, to resolve the issue. The Oba had threatened the Igbos resident in Lagos concerning the Lagos state governorship election and his demand that they vote for his chosen candidate, APC’s Akinwunmi Ambode, or be ready to swim in the lagoon. According to The Sun, the Oba said people were just making a mountain out of a molehill. He explained that he had no hard feelings towards the Igbos in his kingdom, adding that majority of them who are traders use his shops at Isale Eko. He pleaded that the Igbos should just respect his feelings as he sees Ambode as a son who he wants to see in power. The Oba who had to break his siesta to meet the Igbo leaders said everything would be settled after Saturday’s election. The Igbo leaders comprising of Chief Onwuka Ukwa (Ebonyi State), Chief Haruna Ajah (Ebonyi State), Chief Ignatius Okamene (Imo State) and Chief Mrs. Pat Udoye (Ebugu State), promised they would not hold any grudge or animosity against the Oba. http://hype9ja.com/2015/04/oba-of-lagos-meets-with-igbo-leaders-settles-misunderstanding/

Me I sha know without Ibos, Lagos will not develop. Look at the important fields of interest they are well known for. Prostitution, selling of fake video game discs, fake cds and dvds, fake drugs, peddling of hard drugs, piracy, selling of gala on the highway, selling of okrika clothing items, selling fake vehicle spare parts, importing substandard china goods, importing and exporting aba made clones etc. This activities are very vital to the economical success of Lagos. We cannot do without them They are very vital to us . Pls oba Akiolu, don't kill them for us. We also love their girls with their flat bald heads, moustache, yam legs, and hairy limbs 2 Likes |

This he should have done in that first meeting, beg them to vote for his 'adopted son', not threaten them. ...said everything would be settled after Saturday’s election. The above seems to me he still has some bitterness against the people. |
