I met a cable tv installer who told me that if I get a 4.5meter dish I would be able to watch Sky channels. I want to confirm if this is possible before I disburse money to him. I actually stay in Lekki Lagos. Your assistance will be appreciated.

Yes of course but you will need a new decoder. You can get sky UK channels, sky italia packages and other hotbird packages like orange France.
If your focus is hotbird, you will need a z950 tiger decoder. It's super stable.

Here you should be concerned about space, also in relation to line of suite of the intended bird.
Not many landlord would allow tenants with such semi monstar in the yard.
Get the installer to do environmental survey to be sure before you commit your resources.
