AGBAJE WILL BE REMEMBERED FOR IGNITING ONE TRIBE AGAINST THE OTHER AND STARTING A MALICIOUS CAMPAIGN. HE SHOULD BE PAID BACK WITH 'NO VOTE' SO THAT AMBODE CAN WIN AND BRING HEALING TO THE SITUATION. IF THE IBOS CAN REASON THROUGH, THIS IS HOW THEY SHOULD BE THINKING. I DO NOT SUPPORT WHAT THE OBA SAID. BUT THE TRUTH BE TOLD, HE DID NOT START IT. HE WOULD NOT HAVE, IF NOT THAT SOME PEOPLE STARTED CALLING LAGOS A 'NO MAN'S LAND'. AND ONE FELLOW STARTED TO ASK IGBO PEOPLE TO VOTE EN BLOC AGAINST APC. IT WAS VERY SILLY TO DO THAT. IGBOS SHOULD DISTANCE THEMSELVES FROM THAT CAMPAIGN AND LIKE MANY YORUBAS SEEK TO HEAL THE SITUATION AND NOT BLOW IT OUT OF PROPORTION. IT IS POSSIBLE THAT AGBAJE WILL BECOME A PERSONA NON GRATA IN YORUBA LAND FOR HIS KIND OF CAMPAIGN. HE IS NOT THE KIND OF PERSON TO PUT YOUR STAKES FOR. IGBOS, DONT MISS OUT IN THE OPPORTUNITY FOR INCLUSION IN A UNITY GOVERNMENT LED BY AMBODE. 2 Likes |

Igbos should continue this noise at their own peril. If they continue this for too long, Yorubas will launch first attack and AM SURE, it won't end well for them. NB- Igbos cant take it up to ds stage in their domain. Lets preach peace, war won't help anyone. Peaceful disintegration might be an alternative too. Yorubas will survive alone and pick-up in no time |

How can one individual write that crap and claim to representing all yorubas from around the globe? You go siddon for another man land dey wait make time pass make you claim citizenship and you can still shamelessly spew absolute junk calling your fellow Countrymen 'foreigners' in their own Country? I believe many of the Igbos were given birth to in the West, including Lagos, so you aspiring to be awarded citizenship in other continents have no basis to refer to these people as foreigners in their own Country. Secondly, no matter the negative experience we must have had with Igbos at one point or another in the past, we MUST do the RIGHT thing NOW which includes condemning any sort of threat to freedom against any group of people. Besides, the writer managed to rightly point out that there will definitely the many individuals from this same group who live peacefully and contribute to development; then why persecute the WHOLE tribe? |

The political atmsopshere concerning Lagos has changed irrevocably and with its reverbrating effects all round our socio-economic landscape,it will be keen to observe how the pervading tension is doused although we see no end in sight but we do see minor flashpoints occurring btw tribes down the end of the road.Just like the running battles with northerners in ethno-religious crises,we can ably point out face-off reprisals of which the igbos can come on top given their dogged nature and experience of butchering Hausas in the east in reciprocity after years of one-sided massacres in the north....Killing yorubas in the east, north or even southwest in reciprocity wouldn't be a big deal especially now we have a democracy. |

lastmessenger: I am Igbo but I swear u sound arrogant! Agreed that Igbos have the constitutional rights to live freely in Lagos but the host community and the indigenes deserve some resect. They said lagos is their land and not a a 'No mans land' why can't you respect that? Irrespective of what the Oba of Lagos said, the Yorubas stil expect u to respect the throne because its an institution! Meanwhile I strongly frown at the Oba's statement. As a royal father, I expect him to know better. 4 Likes |

grimandevil: In Yoruba land obas don't apologise. He will rather drink poison than apologise (I'm not speaking literarily). People asking the oba to apologize are living a pipe dream. And to all you people calling the Oba a fool, in Yoruba culture we RESPECT Obas regardless of what they may have said or done. You igbos want to govern us, become deputy governor of Lagos your 'no man's land' yet you still do not have basic grasps of the culture and traditions of the indigenes. That clearly shows us it's not time for that yet. 3 Likes |

Baroba: legal businesses, mumu. 99% of legal nigerian businesses in UK are owned by yorubas. over 80% in Canada and US. if ibos are hardworking, they should be able to re-create the hardwork in countries where there's law and order, isn't it? |

kastonkastrol: And as a tribal bigot, the sacred throne was right to threaten their neighbouring tribe with Lagoon? How come you forgot that this could start a tribal war.. How many kilometers separate Igbo and Yoruba lands? Have you ever heard that a Yoruba man in Enugu was killed or threatened? The caretaker of my building in Onitsha is from Ilesha. He participates in everything we do here. He voted Buhari here and nobody said anything. The entire traditional attire we wear here are being tailored by Yorubas. My car engineer is from Oshogbo. Why do you people think you are the only good hosts in Nigeria? Have you asked why Igbos came enmass to lagos? Was it really because you are such a wonderful host? Or because it was once the center of Nigeria. It would have been different if a tout threatened the Igbo nation with Lagoon, not one useless Oba. This slowpoke gathered Eze Ndigbo in Lagos and said rubbish. And you are here talking. Have you not heard that Nigerians, even Yorubas won political offices in US and UK? And I ask again, what is stopping the bastardd to say that it was a slip of tongue and everyone goes his or her way. 3 Likes |

holatin:you aint really sensible, same way ur maturity level is below average!!!what those so called elites, professionals spewed up there is nothing but nonsense as TEMITEMi rightly said, and u went ahead to call him a bastard cuz his opinion differs from urs, hell yea am a yoruba guy and I disagree with whateva d said Oba uttered, matters of National security,death\life shouldn't be a subject to joke with, and yes we adore our elders in yorubaland and the king is more like a small god,but he lost his respect d very moment he went into politics!!!y'al screaming igbos are on our land, thriving and later revolting against their host community, will do much worse if u are in their shoes!remove igbos from d affairs of lagos, nigeria as a whole and see how the economy will take a nosedive, hausa, igbo, yoruba we all need eachother in dis country, but when tribalistic beings like ya'l steps in with ur hatred and bias turts I wonder how d unborn generations will pull tru since learned men are nw worst dan illiterates dis days, all with clouded judgements and sentiments....for dis very reason I hope Jimi wins d polls inasmuch as he is a yoruba man,but from a different political body. 1 Like |

12inches1: u gave a wrong example, Onitsha pple migrated from benin and settled in their present site. The original inhabitants of the present onitsha are from idemmili/obosi. Therefore, onitsha is clearly Igboland. But lagos is inhabited by the awori ethnic group, the yorubas due to close proximity migrated to lagos, the aworis accomodated them and they(yorubas) started claiming ownership. So lagos is NOT yoruba land. |
