Ernieman: ;DYou are not afraid of war, am sure you were not born by that time and did not know what is was back then to fight ,If you take development to the doorstep of people you will not be seeing people jumping of a bus from east every minute in Lagos. We all have the right to free movement ,but develop your place and people so that we don't have 2 people every 30 minute jumping off the bus to stay here 1 Like |

I wil score d writer 2/10 a total failure. 1.Are yorubas one wen it come to polities and money 2.dnt u no that if not over majority of igbos in lagos r indigin so long de r born dea n stay over some yrs de evntualy bcom an indigin. 3.castin or makin chose is a personal tin ok. 4 if i may quot u,c wat u write arant nonsece n an educated ilirate sm1 wud say sm29 lk dis.even wole soyinka wud not say sooo.brosif u de vex de write try n stop it ok As has happened often in the past, the Igbo resident refugees in Lagos, in their characteristic disrespect of their hosts in all parts of Nigeria, have chosen to turn the election situation in Lagos into a contest between themselves and the Yoruba nation. We need to warn them very seriously that they are unfortunately making their position in the Yoruba kingdom of Lagos very precarious. |

EroticAngelina:You are a certified fool for calling the Oba of Lagos useless...infact you are a fvcking ba.stard for daring to think so... Omo iran Ki'ran arire mase, oloriburuku. It's your culture and heritage to undermine your elders.. In Yoruba land is an abomination...and idiots like you feel comfortable spewing those nonsense about an Oba. The Oba in Yoruba land have the prerogative to speak to his subjects in manner they deem fit. Some of the Igbos at the meeting says they understood what he was saying because it was a father and son relationship type of discussion. Though foolish ones amongst you are hell bent in causing mischief. Agbaje and Ambode are both Yorubas it's a win win situation for the Yoruba nation. You as a female, I will warn you to watch how you use your dirt mouth in public. In your life never call an Oba useless 1 Like |

YOU are FREE to use your THUMB or your BRAIN: I have come to see how some tribe(s) feel they can merely use their Votes as instruments of REVENGE traceable to needless hatred forgetting that Hatred hurts the carriers more than the targets. It is very easy to hide behind FREEDOM of SPEECH to spit words rooted in hatred, but all should remember that even generational FREEDOM may not be guarantee after some forms of speeches. Also, any tribe is free to hide behind the veil of FREEDOM of CHOICE to express deep hatred, but also, one should remember that even Heaven or Hell is a Choice. It has been said that He/she who had decapitated a fellow human never feels comfortable when a man holding a cutlass moves closer to him/her. It is true; I have come to discover that the tribe(s) which complains of marginalization, hatred and tribalism is actually the leader(s) in perpetuating and promoting such wiles. Such tribes want your House based on republican theories even when they cannot spare you their sandals…and they desire your lands in the name of true federalism, yet you are not welcome even in their churches. They want absolute freedom everywhere, yet you dare not walk freely in their domains. They will always complain about how hostile their hosts are, yet they continue to desire the landscape of such hosts in millions. They are the first to hide behind the curtain of UNITY, but they are secessionists by history and ideas. Whoever thinks that he/she is wiser than all other fellow humans shall at the end make his/her kingdoms irrelevant as a result of classic foolishness. You are free to teach your host a bitter lesson or insult him, yet time shall permit him to prove to you that life is beyond thumb printing of ballot papers. Feel free to corporate with the foes of your host, but remember, such foes share the same ancestry and blood is thicker than the waters of the Lagoon. In parables I speak, let the wise decode it…let the unwise react as they feel… Feel free to use your thumbs and waste your votes in the name of hatred or revenge… the season shall come when others shall use their brains. Yes, by the end of April 11th, some votes rooted in hatred shall find their ways to the dustbins of INEC, and those who own and love their land shall have reasons to rejoice. The Devil is enjoying more votes than God among Humans…yet Satan has not been able to take OVER power from Jehovah. 3 Likes |

Igbos were quietly preparing to exercise their civic responsibility, to vote, to vote yorubas into power, then Oba threaten igbos who paid him a COURTESY visit; a respect to his throne. What did they get?? A very loud and clear threat to LIFE. How igbos merited such threat, I am yet to understand The person that issued the widely condemned statement is still unrepentant and unapologetic, and you expect an igbo man to keep quiet. Noo, you thought igbos wrong, we don't shrink in fear while you scrape our hair with broken bottle. Allow igbos have their own country, No. Let's live as one Nigeria and allow igbo men do their business, No...what do you actually want from igbos?? Now, one useless group is issuing out a fresh threat and calling igbos, your fellow Nigerian, a refugee, an immigrant in his own country??...one Nigeria indeed, only when oil wells are involved. God help us all. 4 Likes |

adorable29: Oloshi, you want to play victim again after taunting the good and accommodating people for a long time. but now that they replied you, oya let's play victim card again. cry me a river, omo ibo. bigoted ibo goat calling me a tribal bigot, i shudder. ur end is near. when lagos becomes a city with law and order, all ur illegal activities and substandard goods won't have any place to hide, then we will know who the real boss is. lazy bastards, all engaging in illegal activities, no wonder iboland has refused to develop beyond the dark ages it is stuck in. abeg comot for road, make i see front jor. onye nzuzu and osu like you. Message loud and clear We remind those Igbo who love to cause noise and tension in Lagos that you chose to come on your own, and that the Oba and people of Lagos did not invite you to come. The roads by which you came are still open. You are free to return home. We Yoruba are not causing disruption in your homeland; you have no right to continue to cause disruption in our homeland. 1 Like |

One thing that comes to the fore is that this country is tragically divided along deep ethnic lines. No matter the issues under debate, it is guaranteed to degenerate into petty tribal squables where the name of the one speaking is more important than the point being made. The Oba obviously took a joke too far but several eminent Yorubas have in effect chastised him. While the guest should respect his host, the host should be gracious. It is instances like this that make me question the whole Nigerian issue. When will we begin to support Truth and not names? |

macjive01: Sorry my friend but you're VERY wrong. I dont know where you got that mis-information from that the Aworis are not Yorubas. The Aworis consider themselves as descendants of Oduduwa and as such are Yorubas. It is common knowledge among Yorubas that every descendant of Oduduwa is a Yoruba. In fact the meaning of "Awori" is "Awo ti Ri" which in Yoruba means 'the plate has sunk' You cannot attempt to rewrite our history to suit your position. http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Awori_tribe |
