Election here in the north is going on peaceful, even battle grounds like Kaduna, Sokoto, Jigawa are all relatively calm. But this is not the same as per the SOUTH especially the SS & SE

North is definitely the most peaceful part of Nigeria during elections. This goes to show that Northerners are the most honest people in Nigeria. Though a few miscreants in the name of Boko haram have painted a bad picture about the Northerners. Nevertheless, this also means that Northerners are the most peaceful people in Nigeria #fact. They say Northerners are the most violent people, yet this contradicts the insinuation.

that is exactly dsame thing during the presidential election, while there was violence everywhere in southern States, the election in the north is quite peaceful apart from incidents in gombe and bauchi

Apc is doing their best to gain some ground in the south but it is not working, so they resorted to violence.

how is it apc fault if pdp chairman was killed in ebonyi or ballot snatching and banditry between apga and pdp in Abia?

is it APC's fault also in Ebonyi and Abia?

My colleague in the office who always argues with me has finally been shut up with the happenings today which proves uequivocally that no election took place in the SS and SE on march 28th. Violence only erupts in places where the opposing parties are evenly or almost evenly matched and that is being proved in Rivers(PDP &APC), Ebonyi(PDP&LP), Abia(PDP&APGA), Lagos(PDP&APC) etc

Why is even a grassroots election like today not causing skirmishes in the North? It's obvious the 'illiterate' north is politically more sophisticated than the 'literate' south.

Ah! I thought I was the only one who noticed it. All the idiiootttsss shouting underaged voting in the north, and that was how GMB got his votes like 1.9m were all underaged, have refused to see the killings, shooting in the south, especially in Rivers and Akwa Ibom, where GEJ got over 2m votes combined. U want to tell me that nigerians in the midst of this shootings came out to vote?

Anyway, its a state matter now, everyone should be careful as these politicians don't give a heck about u. and for those who will vote based on sentiments, u have 4yrs to regret the decision. Enjoy

Because there is too much money to steal in most of the SS states. You can imagine giving a plotician as governor over N2Billion monthly for security vote when there is no war anywhere in the state.

Because credible election as canvassed by Jega is alien to them. Results are usually written by politicians in their homes. So, 'why all the stress of going through credible process?'

of course, how many states in the north do we have staggered elections? But in the south you have states like Anambra, Edo, Ekiti, Ondo, Osun, Bayelsa, with different gubernatorial election dates as a result of rigging.
