Dasher90: Dashing Dasher......I hope you are not one of those who want him to come back for a second term. Accord won all the polling units in my area. Can't wait to the see the back of Ajimobi. I have never seen a more pathological liar of a governor. |

adeaks: I'd have preferred Ladoja...but Makinde, Teslim, and Akala have already increased Ajimobi's chance right from the time they split cos of their selfish interest. I smell something cunning about that guy called Ajimobi. His mouth is too sweet for my liking. His major acclaimed achievement is the attainment of security in the state. However, I doubt he'd have achieved that if Baba Molete was still alive. |

Re: Jobs/vacancies Section Chatroom by phetty(m): 8:39pm On Apr 11, 2015 |
ilori1930: I belong to a school of thought that you can not totally condemn a political office holder; he/she must have definitely performed well in some areas, and fumbled in others. So I can't outrightly say Ajimobi underperformed. Truth be told, he did well. But I have problems with some of his styles of governance. 1. Most of his cabinet members weren't chosen on merit, but favouritism. 2. At the wake of his administration, he instructed roadside traders to vacate their shops for the safety of their lives. Though some people questioned that, but most welcomed it. Suddenly people started building shops by the roadside, but my governor kept mute simply because he was vying for re-election. 1 Like |

phetty: The two reasons you gave above are not enough to discredit Abiola Ajimobi. 1.Political appointments is rarely based solely on merit, but more on "Trust". You appoint only those you are sure can be trusted. That is the way it is in most administrations. Since Ajimobi will be accountale for the performance of his cabinet, he should have the liberty to appoint whoever pleases him to do the job. 2. That roadside traders went back to where they have been prohibited, without interference from the governor, is not peculiar to Oyo State alone. It happened in railway market Agege, Lagos. The traders went back to their posts as soon as KAI taskforce team stopped their patrol. I remember also that Olusegun Mimiko of Ondo state paid bursary to as many Ondo state students as applied for the grant in 2012 just to facilitate his re-election that same year. You didn't even have to be an Ondo state indigene to benefit, you got paid as long as you applied. There was little or no verification of the applicants. It is part of campaign strategy Give me more cogent points 1 Like |
