BENEFITS OF BEING ON NAIRALAND.

1. You have firsthand information on any happenings around the country.

2. You get to have a social life.

3. Learn to associate with people you don’t know or have never met before.

4. You get to learn from people from different backgrounds.

5. You get to be angry when insulted if you are not the social type (desist from making insensible comment and post, don’t quote anyone if you don’t want to be insulted).

6. If you are a literature loving person, you have great archive of stories to read from on LITERATURE SECTION and you get to learn to write from the best writers too from the section.

7. You get job openings post if you are looking for job on the JOB SECTION.

8. You meet professionals in different fields or career.

9. You make good friends and bad ones too – depends on your wish.

10. Sections like RELIGION, SEXUALITY and POLITICS will expose you to some issues of life you might have not come across all your life.

11. It makes you get acclimatized with the internet.

12. Some gets to connect to lifetime partners grin I’ve seen one that worked.

13. You make real-time career partners – likeminded people you can work together with as team.

14. When you have something good to offer, you’ll have good people to follow you e.g: Frank317, Larrysun, Repogirl, Audreytims, Prettyspicey, Royver, Kayemjay, Ishilove, Standd, Lynxx, Maziomenuko etc.

15. Follow people who add value to your life and add value to your destiny – my 1cent advice.

NOTE:
-Be wary of some people on nairaland whose job it is to cheat and extort money from unsuspecting persons.
-Be wary of those whose job it is going about on every thread seeking for attention and creating chaos – you will see them on this thread eventually.
-Be wary of those whose business it is to insult and rain abuses on people on here.
-Never expect Seun or any of his MODs to pay you any special attention.
-If any of the above listed benefits are not associated with you, please review your life or go and reconfigure yourself, because you are just wasting your data, time, energy and suffering your phone and laptop for nothing.

You learn new words and toughen up.

You learn cuss words and funny diss lines.

You begin to understand that there are weird people with weird stories in weird relationships in weird places.

You are either afraid or excited about marriage.

You learn your freedom of expression is limited by a moderator's ban or antispam bot ban.

You learn a (f) moniker is probably a male guy pretending to be female.

You discover some attention-seeking stunts by some group of persons also known as Trolls.

You get to have a social life? You mean you get to have a "social-media" life?

Writing with precise articulation. I simply can't agree more with the point on quote below,

10. Sections like RELIGION, SEXUALITY and POLITICS will expose you to some issues of life you might have not come across all your life.

But wait o, there's this young girl who will disagree with the line below emboldened

Never expect Seun or any of his MODs to pay you any special attention.

She likes Seun to the moon and back and his attention she always crave.

Nairaland has helped me in being open minded especially in issues pertaining to politics and religion. It has also made me realise how diverse we are and how we should try to channel it to something positive, it has also helped in shaping my views in fields I was ignorant about. . .and how you can learn from someone directly without attending a classroom.

Yeah, all very true...

And another thing is 'nairaland' is what you make of it, if you are bad, you wee see your cohorts, if you are good and purposeful, you'll find so many useful contacts, professionals and inspirational stories.

I think over time, it becomes a reflection of what you have inside you and what you are given to.
