lezz: Ok, your opinion is cool. But factually speaking, Japan has the most powerfull navy in the region, followed by Korea And with both as potoprotectorates of the US, they enjoy the protection of the US's nuclear arsenal. China wouldent dare so much as look Japan in the eye. |

Patchesagain:they needn't go to war. China is more powerful than Japan and more important. Japan being more technological advance doesn't change the fact. |

Patchesagain: Yes we did ask. M23 said on the battlefield, the first army uniforms they saw in front was Tanzanian, next line they saw Malawian army uniforms, but they could not see the South African army because the Tanzanians and Malawians were already absorbing all the bullets while SANDF was too far behind. LDF said the don't know any SANDF I could not find a single Seleka dead body in Bangui after the fight, all I saw was a white flag hanging on an SANDF R-4 rifle and the flag was made of a brand of white p.ant commonly sold at Woolworth boutique in Johannesburg . 3 Likes 2 Shares |

Patchesagain: The Tanzanians and Congolese did most of the fightings in the DRC. Tiny losetho... LOL. It's no longer 1500- 3000 dead Seleka, it is now 400. All reports on the ground say you cowards and inept soldiers fled after taking a resounding beating. Infact the Seleka spokesman has this to say "Seleka spokesperson Eric Massi said the rebels had broken through a line of South African soldiers during their push into the city." 3 Likes 2 Shares |

Patchesagain: We consistently damaged a vile terrorist group. Your Special forces couldn't help but flee against farmers and little boys with hoes and cutlasses. The SANDF is beyond pathetic. "Bangui - South African soldiers in the Central African Republic are seeking safe passage to the airport after taking heavy losses during fighting with Seleka rebels, Reuters reports." "Amy Martin of the UN's humanitarian agency, OCHA, told the BBC World Service that the SA troops had retreated to their barracks and were seeking safe passage to the airport." All evidence points to the cowardice of SANDF troops, and the vice news video provides evidence that the Nigerian military is well resourced. A supposed South-African Special forces could not stand against petty rebels, no evidence they can stand the weight of the Nigerian military. 3 Likes 1 Share |

andrewza:Any FOB can serve as transit or reserve, currently konduga is peaceful, but troops fighting in the Goma,Kumshe and Gana axis could request for reinforcement and supplies at any time, the only two FOBs capable of providing immediate substatial support are Konduga and Bama. So it isnt far fetched to conclude that Konduga is a major transit zone for troops and weapons. |

andrewza:a mortar team cannot bombard a target they cant see,to blow up konduga's weapon storage,a lot of accuracy and precision would be needed.fortunately,if you cant see or locate, then you cant hit. 1 Like |

MduZA: South African police have arrested 17 people and opened murder cases after attacks on foreign nationals in Durban. The violence comes in the wake of alleged comments by the Zulu king telling migrants to go home - although the he says he was mistranslated. But Home Affairs Minister Malusi Gigaba has called on traditional leaders to stop making remarks that "could result in a loss of life". At least 62 people died in xenophobic attacks that swept the country in 2008. For the latest news, views and analysis see the BBC Africa Live page. Following the alleged comments by King Goodwill Zwelithini at the end of March, 250 people have been attacked, mostly from the Democratic Republic of Congo, and foreign-owned shops have been looted in the port city of Durban. More than 1,000 mainly African migrants have fled their homes, some going to police stations and other are being housed in tents on a sports field. Zulu King Goodwill Zwelithini, like other traditional leaders, is widely respected South Africa's Business Day newspaper reports that at least three people have been killed and that a Somali shopkeeper is in a critical condition. Police spokesperson Maj Thulani Zwane told the BBC that the police do not know exactly how many people have been killed, but that some were South African nationals and some were foreigners. 'Ticking time bomb' South African President Jacob Zuma's son, Edward, has come out in support of the Zulu king's alleged comments. Thousands of African migrants have fled their homes around Durban fearing attack "We need to be aware that as a country we are sitting on a ticking time bomb," he said, adding that foreigners were "taking over the country". Raphael Baheybwa-Kambambire, president of Congolese Solidarity campaign, told the BBC that religious leaders met with Zulu monarch on Thursday. King Zwelithini told them he was talking "only about those who don't have papers and documentation in South Africa". Mr Gigaba said on Thursday evening that it was important not to incite violence. "Africa in particular must not think that we hate fellow Africans so much that we are prepared to do the worst to cause them harm," he said. On Wednesday, hundreds of people marched in front of the Durban's City Hall in protest against the xenophobic violence. Durban-based journalist Jeff Wicks told the BBC's Newsday programme that it does not take much to stoke tensions. Xenophobic violence flares up in townships where living conditions are poor for all those living there, irrespective of where they come from, he says. 1 Like |

Nigerian troops got the real beating from Islamic militants on their backyard at home, where their full strength is. At home where all their weapons inventory is kept but still they contracted SA mercenaries who were based in Iraq to help them defeat BH. I don't think SANDF can ever do that shameful act. No wonder Jonathan lost his seat. |

MikeCZAR: Radars have rear hemisphere scan/detection if you don't know ! Okay, it's not from side again, Gripen is now behind F-7 by flying spiritually like Harry Porter witchcraft? Last time I said you Southies were talking about attacking from behind, @Patches said nobody was talking about attacking from behind. Now 80 km away or 120 km away, it's your private imagination in your bedroom that the distance between Nigerian frontline FOB forward air base is 80 km to 120 km away from South African forward air base. Do you know what a forward air base is in war? It's not Pretoria or Abuja airport o ! It's outside airstrip in the war zone. So what is NAF airstrip is in one city 50 km away from SAAF airstrip ? Both aircraft radar will see each other immediately they are airborne. Your private theory of 80 km radar detection is defeated because it is just your personal wish and NOT reality of war. Next, if we just assume for the sake of assumption that Gripen and F-7 are 120 km apart, the Gripen radar will scan the F-7, well the F-7 will not radar scan the Gripen at that range, but a normal and basic radar warning on F-7 will alert the F-7 pilot that the enemy is seeing him on radar screen. If the Gripen wants to get beside or behind the F-7 from head on course, the Gripen needs to make a full 90 degree turn aside from course, then the F-7 pilot notices a faded radar warning and he is a trained combat pilot not a fool, he knows the Gripen has made an out-flanking maneuver, thus the F-7 pilot counter maneuvers by using the altitude advantage over the Gripen, flies above the Gripen level, also banks and turns in the opposite direction and both pilots will just miss each other finally ! If they encounter again next time, the F-7 will fly into the blind spot of the Gripen radar from a long range and use the BVR missile advantage to fire 35 km range PL-9C missile into the blind side wing of the Gripen jet and convert the Gripen from metal into ashes, scattered ashes of SAAF.....airborne cremation in action . |
